Similar as Andalucia. I can't upload images for some reason :(

Depends on what you mean by old. Here in Los Angeles, these "Victorian" era houses in Echo Park are as old as you can get

In my region the traditional house, for both rich and poor people, was an inner patio, usually with plants and a fountain or well, sorrounded by all the rooms.

I found pic related
I meant the native style of building
Our grandparents tell us that they used to keep their doors open for anyone to come because they didn't fear anyone to steal them, butnusaully these houses have big gardens attached to them and a fence built from stones
Nice

How rich?

Stone houses were built by the person himself and the land prices were very cheap, so this was for everyone.

It depends on the region. Pic related is very common in northern Spain.

Those look like andalusian houses, which I guess makes sense.

I forgot the picture.

Some older houses in towns/cities look like this.

Attached: 1563695224487.jpg (671x950, 134.58K)

Yes, all the houses in my town's historic center have that inner patio, arches and wells in the middle. Most colonizers were from Andalucia.

Looks like Galiza. Are those sandstone bricks?

Attached: arquitectura-colonial-argentina-732x380.jpg (732x380, 70.73K)

None of them are from Galicia. First one is from Cantabria and the second one is from Burgos. You can find that type of architecture all over Spain.

They never bother to paint the walls?

Why would they paint over brick? The other example probably has a layer of plaster over the brick walls, but that's not always the case.

Yea sorry, i was thinking why didn't they finish the work of putting plaster, paint, etc. Seem like half finish houses.

I guess it's just the style of that region, which is "famous" for having buildings made out of clay or adobe bricks. Pic related is from a different region, and, as you can see, it has a plaster finish.

Looks super comfy

Typically Levantine, like Jesus would have lived here himself.

people haven't been building houses here for very long.
This style is super comfy and stays cool in the summer.

I always wondered how these people live by the river like this.
Doesn't it overflow in the winter?

What old villages look like in the old town

Attached: 69B7749E-ABB9-4949-94DF-72B54365DF57.jpg (500x375, 50.73K)

We have 2 types of really old building. Cottages are probably the oldest and their style goes back to before medieval times, except the walls aren't made of cow dung any more

Damn, Lebanon looks like THAT?!

Sadly people aren't building those types of houses anymore (rarely)
Because they are exepnsive now

Attached: image.jpg (474x315, 38.31K)

all the ground floors are actually a boat depot, the actual house starts on the first floor

A well maintained village house. Most look much worse though.

nothing else but aestethics I think, but on viking long boats, the dragon heads were among other things used as a tool by the vikings to seem more fearsome before and during battle

Attached: dragehode.jpg (541x721, 148.87K)

we got lots of these typical 17th century grachtenpanden

What's considered old? Our house was built in the 19th century.
