cecть - to sit
пpиcecть - to sit for a short time
пoдcecть - to sit close to somebody
There are shitton of such verbs made of other verbs and different prefixes and suffixes. So you can basically describe situation with one word, there are no such in English.

These claims are so hilariously dumb, I don't know why they're repeated so often. English considers every word a native speaker ever uttered to be part of its vocabulary, even if it was only ever said once by a single person a millennium ago.

In Swedish "hygglig" means alright, nice. "Vi har det hyggligt" (we're having it alright) and han är hygglig (he's nice).

I don't understand how people sort of "pride" themselves about their languages and get in arguments over it. Languages aren't built logically they are natural evolutions over time. Why are you even arguing about which one is more "logic" or has a larger vocabulary? Some languages use cases and less prepositions, some use compounds instead of separate words, etc. It's like arguing whether a bear or a tiger are better fit for survival.
