I don't want to assume they're all like that, but the thing about US italoids is simply that they can be infected by the US mindset which puts them at the center of the universe even when it comes to "being italian", like when i watched a certain Netflix documentary about food which started with a pizza episode featuring a Brooklyn pizza expert that eventually straight up argued italian-americans are the only proper pizza makers worldwide and that the popularity of italian food is all thanks to America rather than Italy, which is just fucking dumb - there's being proud of your heritage and then there's basically trying to hijack it (while yet paradoxically distancing yourself from it at the same time with new-world traditions of your own)

Then again that show seemed rooted in this sort of retardation. One of the main hosts was a supposedly famous Asian-american chef (can't remember if of Korean origins or what) that in the episode about tacos started insisting that Mexican food should actually be credited to asians, "it was our immigrants that taught the latinos" and so forth. Not even the other hosts could take him seriously on that particular topic

Latin Americab culture has nothing in common with Italian. Latin America is a mix of Indian and Iberian.
True Italian culture can only be found in New Jersey, New York and other places in USA where a lot of people actually speak the language and follow their traditions.
