Curious, anyone have the variations of these meme. Currently practicing my spanish since I've all the time of the world and I'm curious about this meme.
Curious, anyone have the variations of these meme...
9gag espanyol should serve you better
Please explain this meme to a non-spanish speaker.
>jose luis
wew lad
I think it's a meme about how Spain would often heavily localize titles. I'm sure you guys had that in france whenever a movie from here was released in france and was heavily localized.
Spaniards translate everything
Actually no, we keep the original English titles most of the time. Québec always do fucked up shit with movie titles though.
based Spain
I wish didn't hadn't succumbed to slimy anglos
Really? I wonder how you guys would pronounce it whenever talking about the movie if you did not know english.
We butcher about every single English word we pronounce.
quebec = spain in that regard
Then how would you know what movie your friend might be talking about when the title is butcher that badly?
you realize all of those are memes, right?
shhh, let them believe that those are real
They probably do it in similar ways. Kinda like how we all pronounce anglicized the pronunciation of New Orleans
Those ARE real.
I know, but im curious of the variations it spawn. I'm interested in the way Lat america and spanish from spain are different in language and I just thought of this meme since im working on my spanish and im bored as fuck thanks to the quarantine. I was mainly looking for variations of it.
wait the crash bandicoot is real?
>possum
>Jose luiz
Carlos
Lmao
>NOOOOOOO THEY'RE NOT REAL. PLS TRUST ME DUDE
Indeed
Based Roberto Estropajo pic
Now I'm just confused.
>my face when "The Horse Whisperer" became "L'homme qui murmurait à l'oreille des chevaux"
La Vida Cotidiana de Homero, Bartolomeo, Margarita, Lisandra y Margarita II
Now I dont even know if it is you guys who started this meme or someone from Lat america.
panchitos literally call Homer Homero, not kidding
Lobezno isn't any better, man.
La Jungla de Cristal kills me tho
Iberian-Iberoamerican banter puts the *nglos to shame
>La Jungla de Cristal kills me tho
???
what exactly would it translate to in english?
Die Hard
My spanish is still bad but I think it reads the crystal jungle? How is that even close to die hard?
>jómer
Moro, please
>Iberian-Iberoamerican banter puts the *nglos to shame
curious, does it get used often between you guys in spain or lat america and you guys this sort of meme?
Dreaming dreaming I triumphed skating
Las Trepidantes Peripesias de Los Vengadores Intergalácticos
>links Canon name is Jose Luis
How will Yas Forums cope?
It's not, kek
>Ganon's name is Tucumán Pumanyaqui
wow really?
The Glass Jungle, I guess cause Manhattan has a lot of skyscrapers with glass facades
is there a reason why you guys are heavily localized? I read somewhere pretty much a large chunk of whatt gets translated from here used mexican spanish, im wondering if that is the case.
>spaniards call Batman "este Drácula huérfano está traumado mogollón"
Can't make this shit up
>mogollón
what is a mogollon? I have not herd of this term.
It means "The glass jungle". How do go from Die Hard to that, I don't know.
Panchis call Batman "El cuate negro culianero"
>mogollón
>COLOQUIAL
>Cantidad muy grande de la cosa que se expresa.
>Panchis
Since I'm still learning spanish, im curious who is that? when would you use that term?
I like this one
Spain dub of the simpsons is way worse than Latam, and you know it
panchi = panchito = latin american
It's a racist term mostly used with Indians but you can call a white latin american that to imply their indian and they get mad
>not "gerardo maravilla y su caballo sardinilla"
So its like a large amount of something? Sorry, still learning spanish if I got it wrong.
Iberian slang for South Americans
Depending on the person, it can either mean:
a) Some native looking South American
b) ANYONE born in South American soil
>Spanish call being a swarthy balding manlet moor "español"
Ok, now this is a movie where they translated the name accurately
yep
I enjoy both tbf
>culianero
what does this word mean?
eeeeeer, Spainfag raised in South America here.
It's subjective, honestly.
Family Guy/American Dad dubs are waaaaay better in Spain, though, just like Dragon Ball Z's dub is way better in LatAm
no hay un solo doblaje latino mejor que un doblaje español
Me acuerdo cuando me bajaba pelis en español y resulta que estaban en panchito, me daban ganas de tirar el ordenador por la ventana
Thank you, I will look into it more. I'm curious where that word originally came from, how it became slang.
To you
i don't even know it just sounds panchi
>panchitos will call this "bivienda digna"
lmfao
A person who likes to fuck a lot
>panchitos call this a "road"
>inshallah, these characters don't have a lisp or sound like they are all 70 years old, by Allah I'm throwing away my computer
>why do I have more hair in my ass than on my head, btw?
When did they take this pic of Tetuán?
>sardinilla
what does this word mean? Is it something to do with sardines?
primero Dios
