Wuhan is 11 million pop (half the size of New York) and they shut down the city completely. They killed anyone who left and welded people inside their homes. I actually believe it when they said no new cases are found outside of that city.

I mean, they're already sending the doctors (and medical supplies) that were flown into Wuhan to Italy already. I don't think they'd do that if people were still dying in China.

Italy is the second oldest country after Japan, a third of the population is over 65. Also north italy is full of asian tourists, is cramped, everyone kisses each other etc. Italy gets a major asian plague every couple centuries or so.

As other posters have said, Italy is reporting all deaths of people who tested positive as corona related deaths. It might be a slight overreport. Their number of infections is probably lower than it actually is.

In China it is almost completely sure much higher than reported, and deaths are probably reported as due to other causes instead of corona. China is one big black box in terms of accurate reports though, so nobody can really make an educated guess for the real numbers.

Numbers in this pandemic are basically meaningless. The production cost of the Coronavirus test is around $100USD.
Northern Italy has more people and public institutions that can afford the test than China. It's not even censorship, China doesn't have the need to allocate massive resources for testing, let alone testing of dead-suspicious cases.

And that's the case of wealthy-powerful countries. I work with a lot of foreigners and was very sick with an influenza-like disease this past week. I think I'm getting better but still I ain't gonna get tested, I simply can't afford it

China's 80,000 infected figure stopped going up back in February. At the rate of infection, it would've exploded if continued for the past 30+ days. Again, almost all countries follow the same extrapolation pattern. Maybe someone has the image saved. Following the 3% mortality rate, there should be millions dead.

No new dead would be impossible seeing as there's a delay between a new infection and dying. It would be too obvious.

It does though. Underreporting at this stage serves to "prove" the effectiveness of the measures they took. The fact that similar measures seem to hardly have an effect in Italy is highly suspicious.
