henlo my Yas Forumsernational frens, how are you all doing today? my new world frens, how did you sleep? my old world frens, how is your day going?
Henlo my Yas Forumsernational frens, how are you all doing today? my new world frens, how did you sleep...
Hey man. I'm the turk from yesterday.
How's your life going?
henlo türk arkadaşım, it is going well. I'm still being quarantined but I have been able to read a great deal which is a big plus. remind me are your classes still in session? I know you said you were studying business and looking for internships but I can't remember if you said cancelled classes or not on account of corona-chan
sorry for the late reply.
all unis are closed down for three weeks starting with this week, so no classes.
I wish I had a readibg habit as well, I just shitposted all day on Yas Forums and on Twitter before falling asleep.
frens?
Hiya frens, I slept ok, finally had an actual dream so that's cool.
>all unis are closed down for three weeks starting with this week, so no classes.
I see türk arkadaşım, what have you been up to today? Has today been a good day?
>I wish I had a readibg habit as well, I just shitposted all day on Yas Forums and on Twitter before falling asleep.
>I wish I had a readibg habit as well, I just shitposted all day on Yas Forums and on Twitter before falling asleep.
Do you have any interests or a hobby türk arkadaşım?
henlo my American fren, what was your dream about? was it a good dream?
I'm healthy, but that's just because i stay indoors all day. I fear the point at which i will not be able to take it anymore, as it might be at the height of this crisis. Fortunately, i have a 20m2 terrace to get at least a bit of sunlight once in a while.
A nightmare scenario for me would be being locked in quarantine without internet in summer once temperatures go above 30° celsius. May god have mercy with my people of Europe.
I usually play basketball when I get to have free time, but for obvious reasons I can't do that right now.
today will be just another boring wasted day, I can feel it.
henlo mein deutscher freund, hopefully things won't reach that point. where in Germany do you live if you don't mind me asking?
and where in turkey do you live if you don't mind my asking fren?
>usually play basketball when I get to have free time, but for obvious reasons I can't do that right now.
neat, I can safely say you are probably better than me I am a dork so I am not very physically coordinated
>today will be just another boring wasted day, I can feel it.
Why do you say that türk arkadaşım? what would you like to get done today to make it not so?
in the European part, but not in İstanbul.
I wouldn't feel comfortable with any further information I'm afraid.
My school is in İstanbul though, I'm here for the unexpected vacations.
In one of the two big epicentres.
Hello. Haven't done much yet, as I woke up in the afternoon, but my day's been alright so far. Had some leftover pizza for breakfast and it was delicious. The weather is really nice, so I'm gonna go for a walk soon before it gets dark.
I am a vicious procrastinator unfortunately. I play hoops every week and still manage to be fat and lazy.
I don't even think about how to improve anymore, man. After years of failed planning I stopped, it just pains me to think about how much more efficiently I could have spent my time.
that's ok fren I'm not trying to make you post your personal info I apologise if I made you uncomfortable, I have folks in Ankara and I've wanted to visit Turkey, would you recommend traveling through the European part of the country?
where is that, Stuttgart? Do you like the city mein deutscher freund?
henlo min norske venn, what kind of pizza do you have? I'm glad to hear your day is going well
I don't have a job anymore because they shut it down. I went to the supermarket and was able to buy most things I needed.
I don't actually like being in my house all day anymore.
>I don't even think about how to improve anymore, man. After years of failed planning I stopped, it just pains me to think about how much more efficiently I could have spent my time.
Someone much wiser than me told me to take things one day at a time. What is in your power to do today that would make you feel productive? Not talking about major long term goals like getting in shape, graduating for school, etc but more short term goals like going for a walk or organizing your study space
I'm sorry to hear that my fellow American fren, what kind of work do you do? It is not easy being cooped up all day no
Nothing special, it was just a couple of leftover slices of a large frozen pizza I had yesterday. The toppings were pepperoni and beef, but I added chili and onions.
No need to apologize fren, I know it was a harmless question.
You know people in Ankara huh? Do you have some sort of diplomat or businessman connections? Interesting really, when people mention that they know people that live here it's almost always İstanbul.
And no, honestly there's nothing to see in the European part that isn't Gallipoli or İstanbul. It's just flatland. But at least the people are nice.
Well, I guess you're right. I'm in no position to refute wise advice anyways.
I guess I'll just clean up the room and go for a walk like you said.
sounds yummy min norske venn, I have yet to have lunch it is still before noon in New England
what is the temperature over there? Here it is about 7°C if I am not mistaken
I work(ed) in a hotel right by a big airport. the flights are all cancelled, so we're empty. Boss told us all to go home because there's literally no one staying here.
8°C right now. Here's a pic I took just now from my window. The sun's setting, so I'm gonna go for a walk now. Nice talking to you, my American friend.
It's nice in summer, so i hope all this will be over before june. On the grass before the city castle, people gather to drink a beer and enjoy the sun. The last two days were the first that gave me summer vibes and possibly the last before the lockdown. Merkel will hold a speech this evening and i am convinced from now on the people will be forced to stay home like in Italy, Spain and France.
>You know people in Ankara huh? Do you have some sort of diplomat or businessman connections? Interesting really, when people mention that they know people that live here it's almost always İstanbul.
Nothing so extravagant türk arkadaşım, my Aunt took the Kara Boğa pill and is married to a man from Ankara, his family is mostly there or working abroad
>And no, honestly there's nothing to see in the European part that isn't Gallipoli or İstanbul. It's just flatland. But at least the people are nice.
Nice people are always a big plus, I love my museums and my history so I would want to see İstanbul either way. I'd also love to see Karaman
>I guess I'll just clean up the room and go for a walk like you said.
while it might seem trite, the little seeds of change will sprout and flourish with simple care
I see, that sucks my fren, hopefully theyll give you all sick time or PTO?
very pretty min norske venn, enjoy your walk!
hopefully this all blows over quickly mein deutscher freund, do you have plenty of essentials in case you are quarantined?
Hello once again fren, my day has been good so far, I just got back from playing some warhammer 40k and is currently cooking. I'm the /tg/ Swede from a few days ago and the CSGO Swede from yesterday.
ahh henlo min svenska vän, I didn't make the connection that you were the same user. how'd the game go, were you playing CSM or imperial guard? What are you cooking for dinner?
I have supplies for two weeks, but in the end i might have to rely on weird combinations like canned beans with rice.
Got up early, gonna go to my awful factory job and get chewed out for making bad product last night.
that's cute. I hope they're happy.
İstanbul is really something else, and if you're into hellenic stuff the western + southwestern coasts are almost as important as greece itself.
karaman? why though? it's a super flat semi-desert, I have no idea why you'd want to go there. seeing cappadocia is both easier and more fun.
>I have supplies for two weeks, but in the end i might have to rely on weird combinations like canned beans with rice.
Maybe you'll discover a combination that you love mein deutscher freund?
I'm sorry to hear you got chewed out my fellow American fren, what went wrong?
>what went wrong?
some piece of the mold broke off and the parts it made were bad in a way I didn't notice fast enough
>that's cute. I hope they're happy.
They are, though no offense to my aunt but I have no idea what he sees in her
>İstanbul is really something else, and if you're into hellenic stuff the western + southwestern coasts are almost as important as greece itself.
Indeed, my cousins always talk about how I have to visit the Aegean coast if I go to Turkey. Although I'd be more interested in the Ottoman period stuff desu
karaman? why though? it's a super flat semi-desert, I have no idea why you'd want to go there. seeing cappadocia is both easier and more fun.
I goofed I meant to say Konya, I would love to see the tomb of Rumi and learn more about the mevlevi order
sucks my fren, sounds like an honest mistake though
hahaha. Maybe he's got a, well, a rather large organ that you don't see a lot in daily life. or maybe he's richer than he makes it look like. unassuming guys can be surprising.
Konya is nice if you want to experience the seljuk aesthetic. in any case, it's a relatively varying country, and with our currency down in the sewer, it would be economic for you too.
>ahh henlo min svenska vän, I didn't make the connection that you were the same user.
Truthfully I didn't make for you either, but I saw the ork picture you posted when looking for an apu picture and I thought "hey they type in a similar way" and the penny dropped.
>how'd the game go, were you playing CSM or imperial guard?
CSM, I won and I need to wash my boots, they're stained with space commie blood
>What are you cooking for dinner?
Goulash soup, it's gonna be great
>hahaha. Maybe he's got a, well, a rather large organ that you don't see a lot in daily life. or maybe he's richer than he makes it look like. unassuming guys can be surprising.
You misunderstand türk arkadaşım it's the other way around, he's honestly way out of her league (medical doctor, nice guy, smart) whereas she's a crazy white woman
>Konya is nice if you want to experience the seljuk aesthetic. in any case, it's a relatively varying country, and with our currency down in the sewer, it would be economic for you too.
I have been wanting to visit for a long time but I hardly know any Turkish beyond what I've used here, I do not want to be rude and assume everyone knows or wants to speak to me in English
lol those poor Tau, congrats on your win min svenska vän. did you say your brother played Tau? my memory is not superb so bear with me. Goulash sounds like just what I need right now I am jealous
very pretty min norska venn, where are you roughly? Oppland?
maybe he loves her. or maybe it's because of the green card, saviour and lord of all third worlders.
finding someone that speaks enough english shouldn't be very difficult, it's a fairly populous country and we're used to tourists.
I wouldn't recommend learning turkish, it's difficult and not used outside of turkey and its immediate neighbors, it's just not worth it really.
>did you say your brother played Tau? my memory is not superb so bear with me.
Yeah, he doesn't play anymore but he used to play Tau, I've been thinking of asking him if I can take it off his hands because with just an extra squad or two it'll be a good army for a very low cost.
>Goulash sounds like just what I need right now I am jealous
It's delicious, although it doesn't beat the Goulash my grandparents make, I still have much to learn from them as they make delicious Hungarian food every-time I visit them.
Fuck, I forgot to include an apu picture again
Østfold.
>maybe he loves her. or maybe it's because of the green card, saviour and lord of all third worlders.
finding someone that speaks enough english shouldn't be very difficult, it's a fairly populous country and we're used to tourists.
I think he genuinely loves her, he already obtained his citizenship prior to them marrying. As far as Turkish is concerned I feel it would be rude not to at least learn some more expressions and phrases since were I too visit
Is your family Hungarian min svenska vän?
All is forgiven
I was close! How do you like living in Østfold kin norske venn?
It's alright, but I plan to move elsewhere within the next year and a half or so. I'd like to live a bit further north and/or somewhere along the coast.
>Is your family Hungarian min svenska vän?
No, both my mother and father are Swedish, however my paternal grandparents had to put my father up for adoption and he was adopted by a Hungarian couple that had moved to Sweden. My family has reconnected with my paternal grandparents and all is forgiven, but it still leaves me in the weird position of having six grandparents who are all family to me.
>All is forgiven
Thank you, fren
>I'd like to live a bit further north and/or somewhere along the coast.
Nice, how far north? Finnmark would be my first choice.
>No, both my mother and father are Swedish, however my paternal grandparents had to put my father up for adoption and he was adopted by a Hungarian couple that had moved to Sweden. Interesting, that's actually very unique but sweet to have that many grandparents. Do you know any Hungarian min svenska vän?
>Interesting, that's actually very unique but sweet to have that many grandparents.
Yes it is, but I always have to explain the situation to people, so it can get a bit annoying lol, but I still love them and it means I get spoiled by an extra pair of grandparents lol
>Do you know any Hungarian min svenska vän?
No, unfortunately not, I've been meaning to learn the language but they're aggressively Swedish, they even raised my father on Swedish.
>but I still love them and it means I get spoiled by an extra pair of grandparents lol
very wholesome and a major perk min svenska vän
>No, unfortunately not, I've been meaning to learn the language but they're aggressively Swedish, they even raised my father on Swedish.
Well it sounds like they're adopted home, that's a common story in the US in older generations
Hey, sorry for the late reply. Went back home after that last reply and decided to do some chores around my apartment once I got home.
>Nice, how far north? Finnmark would be my first choice.
I haven't made up my mind yet, but probably not that far north, although Tromsø is pretty tempting to be honest. I've been eyeing Ålesund or somewhere around there. I also studied in Trondheim for a bit and really liked it there, so it's also a candidate.
>Hey, sorry for the late reply. Went back home after that last reply and decided to do some chores around my apartment once I got home.
It's all good min norske venn, you will get no animosity from me.
>I haven't made up my mind yet, but probably not that far north, although Tromsø is pretty tempting to be honest. I've been eyeing Ålesund or somewhere around there. I also studied in Trondheim for a bit and really liked it there, so it's also a candidate.
All sound like good choices, although I don't know a whole lot about Ålesund personally. What do you do for work min norske venn?
Hey, I'm looking for international inside info and measurements taken around the world. I was wondering if anyone was interested in joining my Discord. I talk to many friends from my country irl, but now that I'm quarantined I don't see my friends as much, and they don't use Discord. I wanted to create an environment where we could hang out, play games, etc. Anyone here wanna join?
>Hey, I'm looking for international inside info and measurements taken around the world.
What sort of info and measurements mijn Nederlandse vriend?
>I was wondering if anyone was interested in joining my Discord. I talk to many friends from my country irl, but now that I'm quarantined I don't see my friends as much, and they don't use Discord. I wanted to create an environment where we could hang out, play games, etc. Anyone here wanna join?
I personally do not use discord but I will not discourage any attempts to promote frenship itt
I'm a financially independent NEET.
>I'm a financially independent NEET.
I apologise min norske venn, I did not mean to assume you were working so I hope I did not cause insult to you
No offense taken. It's a natural assumption.
So far I use the 'world of meters' website to track the cases and deaths per country. But I love watching live press conferences and debates. But they often don't have subtitles, and other than Italy, I don't really know what the hell is going on everywhere except from in NL.
Especially Asian countries are so hard to reach. I wonder if anyone knows how to get insider info from China for example.
>very wholesome and a major perk min svenska vän
Very true, it makes explaining the situation worth every-time, I should head over to their place and my maternal grandparent's place next time I'm at my parent's place, they all live in the same apartment building
>Well it sounds like they're adopted home, that's a common story in the US in older generations
Yeah, I always say that they were always Swedish, just born in the wrong country. They have an adorable accent, too.
What did you study when you were in Trondheim min norske vän?
I see, it must be difficult to get any insider info like that mijn nederlandse vreund. I have friends and family fleeing NYC but they seem to know less than I do.
>I should head over to their place and my maternal grandparent's place next time I'm at my parent's place, they all live in the same apartment building
very wholesome, do they live far from you min svenske vän?
>Yeah, I always say that they were always Swedish, just born in the wrong country. They have an adorable accent, too.
I love old foreign people, where I work I see a lot of them. for example one of my clients is an old Italian woman who is very feeble but it makes me want to help her more
Psychology, but I dropped out after 1.5 years and moved back in with my parents in Eastern Norway. Ended up enrolling at the University of Oslo and got a BSc in CS in the end.
>Psychology, but I dropped out after 1.5 years and moved back in with my parents in Eastern Norway. Ended up enrolling at the University of Oslo and got a BSc in CS in the end.
Interesting, I started my undergrad pursuing an archaeology/history degree but left after 1.5 years and moved back home... finished my undergrad two years ago though (bachelor's in psych).
>very wholesome, do they live far from you min svenske vän?
Nah, same state, but it's an hour and a half away, I mostly visit when my brother is as well so the whole family is gathered.
>I love old foreign people
I do too, my neighbours growing up was an old Finnish couple who were on good terms with my family, it was always fun to visit for cake and coffee.
>where I work I see a lot of them. for example one of my clients is an old Italian woman who is very feeble but it makes me want to help her more
What do you work with, friend? I don't believe that I've asked before.
You too, huh. Good to hear you also managed to get a bachelor's degree despite the rough start though. What are you up to now?
I wish good health to you, hope you'll keep spreading those rays of kindness and goodness you do.
I wanted to tell you this yesterday, but for some reason, I failed to send a reply.
grow up
