There's something weird about Japanese cities, they have this third world flavor, a lot of mess and don't look 'developed' yet they're cozy at the same time so you can't say that they're repulsive or ugly.

When you look at a Japanese city from a distance, it looks like Bangladesh, when you look from inside, suddenly you want to live there.

it's the perfectly paved roads/streets and how they're usually completely clean, takes away from the old and rusty buildings

Like, I live in a small town in tokyo and it looks much better than a residential area of shibuya. Houses are so tiny and roads are so narrow in a place like shibuya. Everything is jam-packed there.

In Europe central, most expensive parts of the cities are also the most beautiful ones. You tell me that it's the other way round in Japan. That's why East Asia is weird and doesn't look first world like Europe.

It's really strange how Koreans never seem to pay for personal garages or driveways and instead just put funny looking sponge bits on the doors to avoid damage .

Even the rich keep their BMWs and Bentleys outdoors on the side of the street like mailman vans on work.

Italian suburban areas kind of resemble this, but usually roads are WAY worse (patches, potholes, bumps) and a bit more dirty (depends from town to town )
