Meds are kinda overprescribed here. Cymbalta is a low dose right now though, so it's not doing much. Bupropion is the important one for me.

I take 10mg to help me focus if I'm trying to get work done. Lasts for about four hours.

Bupropion has helped me. It's popular because it tends to improve mood without the side effects some people get from SSRIs.

I hugely underestimated benzo's, they were WAY harder to kick than alcohol. During withdrawal I pretty much wanted to die.

I ate those things as if they were peanuts though.

Benzo withdrawal is hell, I tried to kick it while suffering from occasional psychotic episodes and I didn't know if they were because of benzo withdrawal or was there something else wrong with me (yes). But with time I kicked it and haven't suffered psychotic episodes for years thanks to other medication. Fuck benzos.

30mg is the average, so yes, I've been a very drug resistant person all my life, so I had to ask for a raise in dosage after 30mg had no effect on me, so it was at best a sugar pill and at worst a waste of money. Truthfully I don't think it's the final dose, since Ritalin is a stimulant, the effect will eventually decrease.

How long did it take you to get ADHD meds? It's a painful process for me even though a couple of my past doctors suspect that I have it

The whole process from start of the investigation until I got my meds took 4 years, but I'm an outlier in how unlucky and how badly treated I was. Meds took a couple of months after I got my diagnosis.

One of my friends is too. He suddenly started talking to us about his neighbors stalking him, banging on his walls etc. He moved couple of times. Then we heard he had been admitted. He has been on meds for a long time now but every spring he still gets episodes and starts sending us messages about someone stalking him and then we don't hear from him for about a month. He's the greatest, friendliest guy on the planet so it's a shame he has to suffer from something like this.

Isn't finland the best place in the world to be like this because you can easily find a place which is miles from any neighbours
