drinking tea and about to watch a film, comfy lockdown
very nice mi amigo español, which film? how do you take your tea? very important to stay comfy during this period of anxiety
home office
thinking about starting to drink even tho it's just midday
what do you do for work mein deutscher freund? it is difficult to combat boredom when at stuck at home all day
Coding some stuff atm, it's something in the automotive field. I miss the small talk and coffee breaks, it's also harder to quickly get input but it's okay in general.
It might get tough in a few months tho. Some virus-wanker said this might last for years on a German new site recently.
troy, green tea without milk or sugar
>Coding some stuff atm, it's something in the automotive field. I miss the small talk and coffee breaks, it's also harder to quickly get input but it's okay in general.
I see, do you like your work mein deutscher freund? The small talk in my opinion is a big loss when compared to being isolated at home.
>Some virus-wanker said this might last for years on a German new site recently.
Jesus, there's no way this will last for more than a few months
very nice mi amigo español, I have never seen Troy desu let us know how you find it. Also green tea is patrician
I enjoy it very much, to be honest I'm doing the same stuff I did for fun during my uni years. I really got lucky job wise.
Yeah but thankfully I got you guys, so I don't feel to isolated.
>Jesus, there's no way this will last for more than a few months
It takes around 2years till a majority of the people developed resistances. Furthmore it looks like there will be no vacine till 2021. But it's just what the news are saying, I can't guarantee how accurately they're presenting the reality.
I think they're currently trying to shock people, because many don't give a fuck atm
>my old world frens, have you had a good day?
It was alright, first I had work and then I had uni, now I'm home and playing some vidya with friends.
Just trying to get dubs you know? It's hard out there for people wanting to check'em in these trying times.
I remember watching it a long time ago on TV but since I don't remember most of it I thought I'd rewatch it
>green tea is patrician
Yeah, especially after eating
I'm happy for you mein deutscher freund, not many people can combine work and pleasure
>I think they're currently trying to shock people, because many don't give a fuck atm
That's for sure, at least here in New England some people are actively flaunting that they are not socially distancing themselves, I don't understand why besides willful ignorance
>It was alright, first I had work and then I had uni, now I'm home and playing some vidya with friends.
What are you studying at uni min svenska vän? What games are you playing?
VERY based my American friend
Are you preparing any snacks for your viewing experience mi amigo español?
Woke up late as usual, around noon.
Went and picked up some groceries and alcohol, took the long walk home through the harbor. Weather is nice but it's windy as fuck. Hate wind..
Now I'm home, gonna watch some tv series and then read book.
As a NEET this is just my normal everyday life.
I broke my nofap streak, ejaculated, and now I hate myself for being an obese disappointment with an average penis.
what city do you live in min svenska vän? what series are you watching? I have been living the neet life for the past week due to being quarantined, do you not get stir crazy?
Not good frens, everything is boring.
do not beat yourself up türk arkadaşım, while I understand feeling frustrated that you broke your nofap, slip ups are a natural part of the process for enacting long term behavior change. Please show yourself more forgiveness!
>no way this will last for more than a few months
that's right, china have 1 new case only yesterday
I'm sorry min norske venn, surely there is something you can do that you haven't tried at home? maybe learning a new skill for example?
I live in Norrköping. Pic related.
I'm currently on season 2 of The Magicians. I'm a fantasy nerd so it's nice.
I've been a NEET for 9 years, it's just my kinda life. I like the calm and stress free life I have.
I haven't progressed a bit in anything in the last five years, man. I can't take this shit for much longer.
>What are you studying at uni min svenska vän?
Engineering, friendo, like all Swedes on Yas Forums
>What games are you playing?
I'm playing CSGO, we're four games and two angry rants over mic from me deep and we've yet to get a pair of randoms that could be considered sapient. We're 3-1 so far, though.
very pretty min svenska vän, do you like your city?
>the magicians
Would you recommend it? I have not seen it before.
>I've been a NEET for 9 years, it's just my kinda life. I like the calm and stress free life I have.
Nothing wrong with that, I apologise I hope you did not get the impression I was disparaging the NEET way, merely that it seems difficult for me
>I haven't progressed a bit in anything in the last five years, man.
How do you mean türk arkadaşım?
>I can't take this shit for much longer.
please talk to someone in real life about these thoughts and feelings if you are not already doing so, you are making me worried for you fren
>do you like your city?
Yes, It's very comfy and everything is at a perfect distance.
>Would you recommend it?
Yes, it's a very good tv series. It's based on books but I actually think the show is better.
>engineering
interesting min svenska vän, do you have a particular branch of engineering you are interested in? my irl fren is an aerospace engineer
>I'm playing CSGO, we're four games and two angry rants over mic from me deep and we've yet to get a pair of randoms that could be considered sapient. We're 3-1 so far, though.
Nice, I have never played CSGO but I would probably be terrible at it, 3-1 is good though wouldn't you say?
My life is either regressing or stagnating, dear apu posting friend. I don't think I will be able to tolerate my current status quo for more than a year. By the end of next summer I want to be either a semi-normie, or I'm going into a major depression once again.
>Yes, It's very comfy and everything is at a perfect distance.
Nice, would you recommend an amerimutt to visit? The only Scandi country I've visited was Ísland and I mostly kept myself to Reykjavík
>Yes, it's a very good tv series. It's based on books but I actually think the show is better.
Interesting, isn't it usually the other way around?
>My life is either regressing or stagnating, dear apu posting friend. I don't think I will be able to tolerate my current status quo for more than a year.
where do you see yourself stagnating türk arkadaşım?
>By the end of next summer I want to be either a semi-normie, or I'm going into a major depression once again.
While having a goal is important, you also need a plan on how to reach it. What does being a semi-normie mean to you and what would need to change for this to occur?
>Nice, would you recommend an amerimutt to visit?
Yes. It's a very calm but fun city.
Here's a vid, it's a bit old now but the city has only improved since.
>youtube.com
Gives a good idea what this place is like.
>isn't it usually the other way around?
It is yes, tv series (and movies) made on books are usually pale copies compared to the book.
Hopefully having passed most of my classes, completely cleaned up the failed ones from previous semesters, and done my mandatory internships.
I got a summer job, i'm really happy, i thought i'd be left without one.
just woke up and drank a cup of a strong, sugar free coffee, feeling good right now.
>Yes. It's a very calm but fun city.
Tbh calm but fun is how I prefer things
>Here's a vid, it's a bit old now but the city has only improved since.
Very comfy min svenska vän, the trolly seems like a very homey touch. would I get bullied for not knowing much svenska besides a few words? When I visited Ísland I only knew a few words and expressions, and pretty much everyone I encountered spoke phenomenal English when push came to shove, but I felt very guilty about it
>interesting min svenska vän, do you have a particular branch of engineering you are interested in? my irl fren is an aerospace engineer
Not currently, no, making tanks would be pretty cool though.
>Nice, I have never played CSGO but I would probably be terrible at it, 3-1 is good though wouldn't you say?
It's a fun game, and I've been playing CS since 1.6 so I'm stuck, and well, I was terrible at first too, practice makes perfect. While 3-1 (now 4-1) is good, and I've been having great fun, we haven't been winning because of the two random people we get every match, quite the opposite, they've really been dragging us down desu.
>Hopefully having passed most of my classes, completely cleaned up the failed ones from previous semesters, and done my mandatory internships.
These are all very specific things which is good türk arkadaşım, is the school workload heavy? what are you studying? are you worried about finding an internship?
congrats my suomi fren, what kind of job?
good morning meu amigo brasileiro, did you sleep well?
>would I get bullied for not knowing much svenska besides a few words?
No not a problem. Everyone speaks English so you'll be just fine. A lot of foreign (English speaking) people work here from the UK, France and other places so you won't stand out.
It's a very friendly city towards the English language.
The trolleys are very comfy, I don't use them very often anymore (I like walking to keep in shape) but they are fast and safe.
I am waiting for a pizza and I have off till end of day
> #
>good morning meu amigo brasileiro, did you sleep well?
considerably, despite the fact that I woke up late because I stayed up until 3 am. However, I do not have classes in my preparatory course today because of the current pandemic.
Thank you, mate. Always touching to receive kindness from a stranger.
I study Economics, but I still wish I had picked Psychology.
A lot of nepotism and inward preference when it comes to internships here, but an economics degree has a wide area of use, so I'm not expecting it to be super difficult.
>Not currently, no, making tanks would be pretty cool though.
Indeed, I wouldn't know the first thing about it though
>we haven't been winning because of the two random people we get every match, quite the opposite, they've really been dragging us down desu.
Is it possible to invite them to keep playing with you if they happen to be be good?
>It's a very friendly city towards the English language.
I am more worried about coming across as disrespectful, I love languages so for example I tried to learn a little Íslensku when I visited Reykjavík
I just stopped working. Don't know what to do for the rest of the day yet.
It's been quite snowy here as well for the past few days!
>I am waiting for a pizza and I have off till end of day
what kind of pizza did you order mój polski przyjaciel?
>considerably, despite the fact that I woke up late because I stayed up until 3 am. However, I do not have classes in my preparatory course today because of the current pandemic.
why did you stay up so late meu amigo brasileiro? what are you studying?
>Thank you, mate. Always touching to receive kindness from a stranger.
of course türk arkadaşım, I unironically believe all people are worthy of love and respect (inb4 dumb hippie, I'm not a hippie please no bulli)
>I study Economics, but I still wish I had picked Psychology.
I originally studied anthropology and history before switching to psych, but I certainly understand the need for a more marketable degree
>A lot of nepotism and inward preference when it comes to internships here, but an economics degree has a wide area of use, so I'm not expecting it to be super difficult
Sad to hear but I imagine that's the case anywhere, certainly so in American business internships (my brother major in macro economics and he had to fight tooth and nail to get an internship in the field). Have you identified some places you are interested in interning at?
AAAAAAAAAAAAA
>coming across as disrespectful
Not gonna lie, most Swedes are pretty horny for the opportunity to speak English with a real English speaker. No idea why but that's the way it is kek.
So that's absolutely no problem.
henlo my Russian fren (sorry I do not know any Russian besides things like vot, koroshoya sabaka etc. My spelling is probably wrong please no bulli).
how are you doing today?
are you ok my Bulgarian fren? Also apologies for not knowing any Bulgarian
>Not gonna lie, most Swedes are pretty horny for the opportunity to speak English with a real English speaker.
interesting, many of the people I met in Ísland said the same thing, including people from abroad. When I think about it that way I get excited when I met people here that I can practice my language studies with so I think I can appreciate that feeling
just was unable to sleep.
currently I'm trying to get into a public university, so I'm studying high school subjects so I can pass through the entrance exam for computer science.
Schools and universities are on quarantine. The company I am working in just finished preparations for massive remote work. Feels good.
i cant take this lockdown any more and the cases keep rising up they might declare even stricter lockdowns
how are you doing my American friend?
Thanx, you're making me blush.
I suppose I'll take whatever I can get for the first one, but the second one will almost certainly be at a bank.
>I think I can appreciate that feeling
But if you want to practice Swedish while here don't be afraid to say so. People will more than likely be happy to help you.
I see, maybe you are drinking too much cofe? Good luck on the exams meu amigo brasileiro!
>Schools and universities are on quarantine. The company I am working in just finished preparations for massive remote work. Feels good.
What kind of work do you do my Russian fren?
>I cant take this lockdown any more and the cases keep rising up they might declare even stricter lockdowns
do not be discouraged my Bulgarian fren!
>how are you doing my American friend?
I am good thanks fren, I have been quarantining myself due to being sick but I have been able to read a great deal which is a plus
>Thanx, you're making me blush.
No problem türk arkadaşım
>I suppose I'll take whatever I can get for the first one, but the second one will almost certainly be at a bank.
Good luck! bank work sounds difficult desu
>But if you want to practice Swedish while here don't be afraid to say so. People will more than likely be happy to help you.
That's good to know, thank you min svenska vän
>Is it possible to invite them to keep playing with you if they happen to be be good?
Yes it is, however that is a rarity in the wilderness of matchmaking. Two other friends just joined us however, so that won't be necessary.
I am a c# programmer, currently on an internship.
This is hands down the most wholesome thread on this site, I wish you all a very fulfilling and happy time ahead of you, we're all gonna make it frens.
>Two other friends just joined us however, so that won't be necessary.
superb, the more frens the merrier
what sort of things do you program for my Russian fren?
thank you my Indian fren, I apologise I do not know any hindi. I wish the same to you
Nothing special. My teamlead just asks to find out a technology that could do some stuff and then implement it into the project. Everything goes smoothly and gently.
Btw, what do you do?
Neat, I do not know the first thing about programing it seems difficult
I work as a dog groomer my Russian fren, but I have been at home for the past week because I'm sick
