Would they accept quarantine?
Would they accept quarantine?
I don't think anyone would respect a quarantine there, same here.
Only if Bruce Willis was in charge
It's illegal and I will not have my freedom of movement violated
One guy in Kentucky or some shit had to be forced into quarantine after testing positive and refusing to self-quarantine. He won't be the last.
So long as we aren't left high and dry yes
surely you realize they're >AM I BEING DETAINED: the country
jokes aside, isnt that what most would think? especially since you couldnt buy freedom of movement in this case
Maybe Wall Street doesn't want to know the actual number of people infected.
I wasn't joking, assuming you're referring to the type of mass quarantine going on in other countries. Obviously if somebody is infected they're a danger to public health and it's another case.
That's why I'm asking, I can't imagine them accepting such a drastic measure if they don't see ten thousands people dying first.
Stay at home or no more burgers for you
Only complete nut cases , we have a shiton of natural disasters and people tend to do what the national guard says.
no need
travel from china was stopped in january and we stopped disease riddled yurop
US wins again
you are still free to go out and buy food and do necessary activities here, you just avoid all the optional activities
it doesnt matter if you are healthy or not, that's the point
do you still let brits in?
>Isolation separates sick people with a quarantinable communicable disease from people who are not sick.
>Quarantine separates and restricts the movement of people who were exposed to a contagious disease to see if they become sick.
Only referring to at-risk populations and not the general populace. We have the right to general free movement; any attempts to impede that would be unconstitutional.
That's not a quarantine.
Nah. This is the best chance millennials have of getting rid of the boomers and they’re gonna use it.
Not the other user, but you get fined for doing literally anything that isn't strictly necessary (i.e. going to the pharmacy, do groceries, let the dog pee). Going to work is allowed but pretty much everything is closed.
It may not be a quarantine stricto sensu, but it pretty much is, and I don't see Americans accepting this type of measure either.
But would you stay in to lower the risk of spread? Or would you ignore logic just to show that you won't let go.
>parasitic government bandits find another way to leech off of citizens
Fucking Boomers.
I live in the countryside, so it's not as much of an issue for me, but, if the government attempted a quarantine, I would defy it on purpose. I would hope somebody would challenge it in the Court system too, but I'm not experienced enough or have the resources for such things.
>I would defy it on purpose
Even if it means someone else (might be a good person) could die for it? Why? What would you gain from it, on any aspect?
The Chinese saw the epidemic on TV and mobile phones, and they decided to stay at home. Every Chinese felt obliged to do so.
Americans are just the opposite. This is the cultural difference.
Not since yesterday, Ireland and UK are now banned
I'd accept it just so I could stay out of work desu.
You don't seem to understand that there are official levels of quarantine, for instance, in New York state some residents are under quarantine, but they are still allowed to use their sidewalks and go to businesses. However now there is talk that what you suggest will come to pass, and for the most part, yes because it's been a proven real honest to God threat.
480,000 Americans alone are projected to die from the virus alone.
So, to look cool according to the quotes of someone who died hundreds of years ago?
quarantine NYC and new jersey and we're good
The North-East and the West Coast are not exactly the regions I imagined being against such type of measure.
Absolutely not.
This cunt is filled of violent cranks. The mere mention of "quarantine" will cause a huge uproar and probably a shooting.

To adhere to the principles of America and not let government trample over our rights granted to us by God.
It's impressive how US Americans tend to be so nationalist yet so suspicious of their own government.
God did nothing, your ancestors earned those rights by fighting. If your parents died because of this, and specifically because you infected them, you would be glad about it?
American Boomers are dementia-riddled blockheads who are so concrete they think Milk Duds are failed dairy products. Thus, they take truisms written almost 250 years ago as immutable and absolute mandates for life in the 21st century.
They can’t control you if you maintain suspicion
Depends on who is in charge of the Executive branch. If a dem was in command most conservatives would probably be planning on bombing quarantine centers like africans or hong kongers did.
>implying we have genuine rule of law in this country
Baka
I wouldn't be glad if they died, but it's better than letting tyrants inch their power ever forward. And my ancestors were only able to fight and gain prosperity via Providence.
>Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection
t. Washington in his Thanksgiving Proclamation
Not a boomer.
He's referring to traditional concept of national security though. Think of cold war era and you will understand.
>It's illegal and I will not have my freedom of movement violated
It isn't violated, it's temporarily put on hold so that society can continue, Jethro.
How's a temporary measure (because no matter what you think the government is cooking to enslave you, this is temporary) going to hurt your freedom? No matter how you look at it, you are just trying too hard to fit in while ignoring the actual enslaving of your people that has been going on for quite a while.
Ah, I see your point.
The militias will be mobilized to prevent such tyranny.
They claim to love the cunt and hate the government
>t. coworker is a 3%er (a far right militia) and a far right lunatic
>YOU'LL QUARANTINE *COUGH* ME OVER ME DEAD *COUGH**COUGH* BODY!
>freedom
haha good one
>this is temporary
Said every dictator during a crisis before never giving up power.
>ignoring the actual enslaving of your people
You don't know anything about my opinions of what has been going on for centuries. I almost certainly know far more about it than you do, and find more of it tyrannical than you, a person whose people have eagerly embraced tyranny and fascism century after century.
Usa is too big and not that densely populated. covid is a non issue outside of large gentrified cities
user, they won't accept basic, universal healthcare on the basis that it might give their neighbour a chance to become a billionaire quicker than them. Why would they accept something actually mildly inconvenient?
>Usa is too big and not that densely populated
Good thing the virus waits a while before it becomes symptomatic, meaning that you are contagious long before you realize you are sick. I drive 60 miles and stop for drive-through every day while I'm going to and coming back from work. Sometimes I stop at malls and such for slightly better food. That's a lot of exposure.
t. one of the last countries to abolish slavery
Sharties that can't cross their bedroom doorframe already because they're too big and wide now, are quarantining themselves already.
Oh, I guess we better abolish all our rights because of [X injustice that no longer exists and that we sacrificed many lives to get rid of].
>I wouldn't be glad if they died, but it's better than letting tyrants inch their power ever forward.
kek, Americans are amazing
I guess my points are also invalid from the actions of people that died before i was born. You assume a lot, while knowing little.
Mutts historically only give up their rights if in doing so they hurt non-"white" minorities in some way. That's pretty much how "assault weapons" got banned in the first place.
The difference is that you're advocating for the trampling of God-granted rights, thus continuing the tradition, and I'm not.
Like, you guys are soooooooooooooo far away from any tyranny i tell ya. You losing your "freedoms" that you care so much about will not be the downfall of your country
