I live in a city cluster with roughly 5 million people in it. I still live with my mom, she is actually crazy and has been hoarding food and other supplies since summer (when the blackouts happened). She also works in the medical field so she has literally bottles of disinfectant and tons of gloves, masks etc. to our own disposal. That means I'm extremely well off in terms of supplies, but I'm at pretty high risk of getting actually infected (especially since I'm still a fucking public transportation peasant). I'm not scared of getting sick though.

Not at all, even so I live in the center of a 500.000+ city.
I basically do not care that much since I am young and fit and our health system still works, so chances to die are really low. Also my company is pretty cool with working from home and I have enough stuff for weeks if everything shuts down.
Would like to store some fuel since my family lives like 200km away so with the tank of my car I will only be able to get there like once, tho.

Truth be told, it's good to have basic supplies for about 2 weeks so you don't have to leave your house if you're getting sick. The less dependant you are during self-quarantine, the better.

As I said, it's reasonable to have some supplies at home, solely so you don't have to interact and rely on other people when you do get sick. But people buying 5 packages of soap and 20 packages of TP are just scared sheep.
Buy pasta, rice, sauces in jars, some canned shit, muesli/oats and milk. That'll last you two weeks easily in cause of self-quarantine. And even then, there's still delivery services of course.
