How has the coronavirus affected your life?

I've been applying and interviewing for software engineer positions. Usually, the final stage of the interview process consists of a 5-6 hour on-site interview but they have me scheduled for video calls instead

Literally nothing in the slightest. People just talk about it more in the pub.

My bitcoin savings have experienced a dip

Amazon?

nothing, except i get more to laugh at here and while reading the news

Everyone seems to be more afraid of panic buyers than the virus itself

Got sent home from work today, told to work remotely tomorrow too while the execs figure out the sick policy for the kung flu

>How has the coronavirus affected your life?
You know the usual. Fever, cought, shortness of breath.

Nope, I interviewed at Amazon two months ago and fucked up because I didn't study Amazon Leadership principles hard enough

I was schedule for an interview myself but the company first changed it to calls then postponed the thing entirely. They told me last week they weren't even allowed in their own offices - they're in fucking Milan

Other than that i was supposed to work at an hotel this Easter but it's up in the north in a skiing area so for all i know the place might even close, or at least not require my extra hands due to less tourists, haven't heard from the employer yet. Hell, even if they still want me right know i can't tell if i want to get so close to the danger areas or if the state will allow me to travel

Not a lot for now. I live in a place which (for now) hasn't been hit hard by the coronavirus and for now I didn't notice any difference.

it has not

All school and university is closed from tomorrow which is based as fuck

Holiday plans are gone. Was excited to visit Israel in Easter.

>close uni
>students just go to bar coofing at each other

there`s no more strawberry and raspberry kitkat at the supermarket.

Nothing yet except it gives me a slight sense of dread. I stockpiled some food and some masks Im too shy to use in public

It hasn't. My family is still planning to go Miami next week and Mexico in April. Trying to convince them it's not wise but it's not working. My aunt went on a cruise yesterday; at least they recognize that as insane

Yeah, they take the goddamned principles seriously. I also failed to pass an interview

>coronavirus
CHINA-virus

Supposed to go to student exchange in Germany in a few weeks. There's a good chance it will be canceled

this

I've been planning to go to Japan and Italy in spring this year for a long time now. I don't mind waiting with Italy, but I really want to go to Japan. Now I'm hesitating, especially because there's a realistic chance the music festival I really want to go to ends up getting cancelled.

Besides that, I guess my crypto holdings took quite a hit, but I don't know how much of it I can attribute to the panic caused by the virus since it's such a volatile market in the first place.

It hasn't

well i stopped using trains and busses. I commute only with my bicycle since 2 weeks. Other than that my life remains the same.

>There's a good chance it will be canceled
good. We dont want you here

nothing yet but they're probably going to delay lectures.

I stay at home all day drinking beer and playing vidya

fuck

nothing for now but im worried its gonna fuck over my exam

Why is it that people either call it the ultimate nothing burger or the pandemic that will extinct the human race? I've had to stop being around people recently, not because of the virus but because of the stupidity.

i'm already hypochondriac so i let you imagine how i'm feeling now

It's literally had no impact so far apart from a lecture getting cancelled due to my lecturer self-isolating.

I hope it stays that way. I have plans for extracurricular shit in the next month or so.

Face to face classes are suspended at my university and are now going to be online. Saves me a commute I guess but I really hate online courses
This is the first event like it during the social media era? Ebola and shit were never as contagious

My uni cancelled all lectures and practicals for 2 weeks so I basically get to do nothing/prepare for exams
Pretty based if you ask me

It's been ages since they had anything like this. At least since the Hong Kong flu and that was over fifty years ago

>Literally nothing in the slightest. People just talk about it more in the pub.

Does you family entirely consist of coofers?

my college is probably going to close soon, i honestly expect an email within the next few hours. i'll be stuck on campus for the foreseeable future, since i literally live across the country.

i guess my internship will just end if the government shuts down, since it a govt position. big Smh.

i'm also a senior so i'm assuming we won't have graduation ceremony this year. i don't really care about it tho, since it saves my family money to travel here.

It will soon lel

Nothing yet, but i fear my summer vacation to Croatia might get cancelled.

the only problem this virus is posing is killing your boomer parents/grandparents & ruining big events with lots of people.

since (i'm assuming) we're all young here, we won't be faced with death. just inconvenienced in daily life.
but maybe its a good idea to worry about your elders dying.

>good. We dont want you here
>tf
>tp

My degree proclamation would have been on 6th April and will be on ''call conference'' and not live.
A bit weird

It is not that uncommon for the coronavirus to cause severe respiratory problems in younger victims. Unlikely to be lethal but you could still need the hospital and if the ICUs get overwhelmed, who knows

How are we so incompetent?

It's a legit map or a meme-made for the site?
I thought you were corona-free

0, there's less than 10 cases in the whole country and everyone's ok with it.
IMO the heat will make it hard to impact latin america

i'm an advanced neet, so not at all

i'm outside twice a week (2am) tostock food, das it

Ganbare, Corona-chan! Become a virus that can beat the heat!

Not a meme. It wasn't long ago we didn't have a single confirmed case, yet we're somehow outpacing everyone around us now. I don't know if other countries around us perhaps aren't testing people as much as we are, but I doubt it considering things I hear in the news seem to indicate hospitals are struggling to keep up with it and are short on necessary equipment.

Not even my local supermarkets have run out of toilet paper/hand sanitizer/etc. Doesn't affect me at all, probably even if it infects me

This is the future of wagies. Get used to it.

I just avoid chinamen

You're basically us 14 days ago then. It happened almost the same. I'm with you norskbro. Don't listen people who ''muh just a flu'' because it isn't.

what do you mean? nice digits btw

IT TVRNED ME INTO A BVLL
*COVGH*
EXCVSE ME

scandinavia is gonna be fun in a week or two

We already have the cure here

Tbh i thought italy's number were so inflated because testing for the virus was so accessible? like the numbers are high bc so many people are getting tested now.

not like here where they literally won't let people get tested.

Like Ebola, Corona only makes me stronger.

>because testing for the virus was so accessible?
Yes, and we're the only ones with Japan and South Korea (and pheraps Iran) who're saying the correct numbers and the people in E.R.
Unlike germans.
Do they really believe that ''well only 100 cases and 2 deaths in Deutschland we're safe .... but meanwhile we're experiencing, CASUALLY, the worst seasonal flu epidemic in the last 60 years''. C'mon ...

You can win without niggers if you do really well with other groups. Bernie just isn't; he's a regional candidate Hispanic voters in the Southwest

Yeah, at first I wasn't sure what to believe, but it certainly seems considerably more serious than "just a flu" at this point. I'm getting pretty worried for my parents now, particularly my mom whose health isn't the best and tends to get sick pretty easily.

Also, holy shit, I didn't even realize the screenshot I posted above said 400 cases. Just some hours ago the number here was 277. In the last few hours another 123 were apparently confirmed. This means that in a single day we nearly doubled. Apparently 10 of these new ones were in my area too...

You're just jealous of their strong germanic immune systems
