I truly and honestly do not understand why they gave her a good ending, nor why people were ok with it. She was a tyrannical fucking maniac, put all the Finn shit aside and she tortured, killed, imprisoned, and experimented upon her own people and caused all kinds of shit in other kingdoms throughout the series run, then got no comeuppance for it. Her and Marceline cuddling in their last shot was the opposite of cathartic, it was "This horrible person got a nice happy ending".

She lives alone in a kingdom of soulless automatons. She knows they are all easily replaced, and don't feel real pain.
