Well yeah but Doomsday can be temporarily taken down while Ultron is immortal and anyway to actually kill him requires a fair bit of intelligence or powers Doomsday doesn't have. It's just a matter of time before Ultron gets the model or method to put him down

He literally gained control over energy, flight, whatever powers he doesn’t have, he’ll gain them in a fight

Then at worst it's a tie, but Ultron's superior intelligence, numbers, and versatility will probably overwhelm him before he obtains a power that can actually effect Ultron in any capacity

It's a battle of attrition. Doomsday can't really finish off Ultron but Ultron is, sooner or later (even if it takes millions of years) going to run out of ways to kill Doomsday. So all Doomy has to do is keep fighting against Ultron and sooner or later he'll be so fucking evolved that he'll be able to destroy all of Ultron. All this "b-but Ultron is so smaaart" bullshit doesn't matters at all. Best case scenario for Ultron is to self-evolve and create super AIs whose sole purpose is to come up with ways to deal with Doomsday, to which he would then become immune, then rise and repeat and get stuck into an eternal stalemate.

Ultron evolves and acquires the ability to negate Doomsday’s resurrecting powers. Ultron wins. Doomsday is too stupid to fight someone like Ultron. Doomsday will have better luck against an idiot like Superman or Jobberseid.
