While watching it I farted and it felt pretty good because my stomach was hurting and then I farted and it didn't hurt so bad.

Personally, i think this is an entertaining film. It has some big laughs and mostly keeps you hooked the first time you watch it, pun intended....the problem with it is that it's not a respectable film. Not only because it was an attempt to capitalize on Nemo and Will Smith's popularity, but also because it's shamelessly filled with racial stereotypes and product placement. It's more of a product than an actual film, and people don't usually like this.

will smith fish > will smith genie

I actually unironically like it despite how ugly oscar looks. I haven't watched it in along time but it definitely had some funny jokes.

The shark dolphin tranny was pretty funny

This happened to me the other day.
I ate an extremely spicy meal then went to bed and woke up in so much pain i thought i had an ulcer or something.
Then i ripped a huge fart and felt better immediately.

It’s technically well-animated

The ideas were good.

No its not

the art style makes on the cover makes it easy to avoid purchasing

It has a good sound track.

Indeed. There's a difference between art style and technology. The film does look good for 2004, with some impressive lighting and particle effects. It's the color palette and character designs what bring it down

You can say that again youtube.com/watch?v=LL5KHEexHNQ youtube.com/watch?v=OO8nBbKSEVU

how dare you diss on Will Smith's VA performance as Genie? he was my childhood. I cried when he killed himself in 2014.

When I was a kid it was like the only film I knew of that had a shark as a good guy and a protagonist, and as a kid obsessed with sharks that kinda meant something. Hell, I still can't think of any examples in fiction of stories where a shark is a protagonist and a good guy (the rare times sharks get to be good guys, like Sidon from Zelda, they are secondary characters at best).
I definitely would have liked the movie better if it was just about Lenny trying to earn his father's approval but then showing him and the other sharks a better way to co-exist with other species.

Might have been a better movie too. Probably not a good one, but pretty much anything you change about Shark Tale couldn't make it worse.

this

I always lose it when the shark dad discovers the truth about his tranny son in the middle of a mafia meeting. The octopus guy stating the obvious and making it even more awkward is hilarious. youtube.com/watch?v=WiN_AAokBfU

Sharks are kino animals desu, wish people didnt always portray them as villains or killing machines

It's kinda surprising to see the talent that they got for this. Not only it had quite the amount of celebrities and music artists, but it also had 3 directors, including the ones that made El Dorado and Shrek 1. The script was also written by the Ice Age 1 writer

I love living in a world where literally who's on YouTube can color the opinions of millions with a thumbnail and some wordplay.

Schafrillas is a moron. Nearly all of his arguments are retarded and nitpicky

Reminder that this film made money at the box office than nearly every 2D western animated film since Lion King, with the one and only exception being Tarzan. It was also the 9th highest grossing film of the year, and even got an academy award nomination. Good film or not, it was a big hit.

Yeah it makes me sad. Of course there's lots of cool animals that don't get to be heroes or protagonists often but you don't seen them being actively slaughtered because of a film defining their perception in the public eye.
Part of my beef with Shark Tale is that the conflict ends up with sharks having to apologize and make amends to the other animals but, and I know it's a kid film, but sharks don't gotta apologize for shit. We did them irrevocably dirty for no reason at all other than them doing their job as predators and occasionally mistaking us for their food.

People never had any problem treating orca whales or sea lions or bears as lovable and sympathetic beings for generations despite most of them being far more dangerous to humans than sharks. Most sharks aren't even big enough to attack people, and we taste like shit to them.

I just wish we had one big shark thing in media, you know. Like How To Train Your Dragon was for dragons.

Have you seen diego?

>tranny

No you idiots, he's obviously gay. Come on, an effeminate vegetarian who was afraid his dad wasn't going to accept him?

It has Will Smith
That's about it

I liked it when I was a dumb child so it did its job

People got paid.

>People never had any problem treating orca whales or sea lions or bears as lovable and sympathetic beings for generations despite most of them being far more dangerous to humans than sharks.

That's the thing. Orcas are far more dangerous, but minus a few Sea World incidents, they've never been known to kill humans in the wild.

He was gay, but there were some tranny undertones as well. The dad literally tells him at the end that he loves him no matter what he dresses

and it was his 4th most successful film at the time, only behind Independence Day and both MIB films

Crossdressing gays exist too, they don't have to always be trans. It's like Ru Paul, that nigga has been crossdressing for what, 40 years now?

I’m positive it sucks
