First movie is the only kino thing about the franchise. It should've never been a franchise in the first place, but that's Dreamworks for ya. Neither Po or the Furious 5 are strong enough characters to sustain an entire series imo

You are objectively wrong the KFP trilogy is great

are they dating in the show or are they still just friends?

The second was the best and third was the worst of the trilogy but still okay. Also, Tigress and Shifu can totally support a whole movie.

Totally disagree. I didn't like the second one. at all

Can you elaborate?

First two are unironically great movies that can appeal to both children and adults
The short stories with the furious five/masters are in the same category and are a fun complement to the world.

The cartoon is ok'ish.

The third movie is trash and should never be discussed.

The third was the weakest but it was still a great movie

>Didn't like kino peacock villain, the continuing realization of Po because winning a single fight doesn't mean you're over all your issues, actually exploring best girl Tigress's character, best fight scene in the whole trilogy at the end, improved art direction
Holy shit, user, aren't you worried about the Cringe Cops coming to arrest you for this shit?

Should it have happened?

I didn't like the script, comedy, lack of Shifu, short runtime of only 80 minutes, complete lack of chemistry between the characters, total waste of the Furious 5, the whole fireworks as a weapon concept, and how repetitive the action scenes get. Shen's design wasn't intimidating at all, and despite the film trying to give him some nuance, he's just a one dimensional prick that became evil for no reason, unlike Tai Lung. Also, giving Po a Goku like backstory was unneccesary imo

They're cute but I'm glat it didn't. I feel like they would have ruined it somehow

Yeah. KFP3 was a mistake. It shows that Po can mature, and that Tigress can open up emotionally.

2 > 1 > 3

Well the original plan for the 3rd movie was that female panda we see in the movie with the ribbons was going to be Po's arranged fiance since they were babies. When that plot thread was leaked, I lost my shit. Since Tigress had a new outfit and was going to be with Po in the Panda village, I thought they were going to give her a story arc of deciding whether or not she likes Po more then a friend. But it turns out that was just a draft and the final movie didn't have shit about that. Tigress gets a new outfit and shows up to warn Po about Kai, then she gets that motherhood dynamic with the young panda girl. They can have gay couples in the Kung Fu Panda cartoons, but not interspecies relationships between main characters that have good chemistry with each other?

So how many people itt checked out paws of destiny, because during the actual threads for it there was like maybe 5 anons, so I'm just asking.

Not many, I can tell you that.

I forgot it existed the moment I wasn't looking at a thread about it. I will forget again when I navigate away from this thread.

The sequels were bad imo. Heck, even the guys that created the characters and wrote the story of the first movie, Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris, didn't come back for the sequels. They probably knew that they were only made to milk the success of the first film

Do these two ever end up together in the show or do they keep the will they/wont they bullshit going still?

The progressive sidelining of the FF so they actually lose fights off-camera, and the lesson that being a fat lazy bastard trains you to overpower literally legendary Kung Fu masters makes the third movie a shitshow. It also hammers home the point that Po is The Only Important Character and makes you wonder why the rest of the crew are even there.

>King Fu Panda

LOL you fucking retard you cant even spell the shit right. what a fucking knob

The fact that Shifu and the Furious Five weren't in it made me lose immediate interest.

I don't think they are bad. Three is definitely the weakest but I think all three movies are solid.

shut the fuck subhuman

>shut the fuck subhuman

LOL wow your grammar is shit. you cant even insult someone without fucking it UP *HINT: this is the word you forgot in your insult, dumbass*

>when Po says "You're so hard you don't feel anything at all" and she gets that brief look of profound sadness on her face

I think she was about to open up about her time in the orphanage by the rest of the Five interrupted.

Lord Shen was the best villain. Fight me.

I do wonder what the sequel would have been like if Ethan and Chris had stuck around.

The fact that Po's backstory in the second film wasn't even written by the guys who created the character and franchise says a lot...
