They probably don’t want to mention it. Even announcing cancellation gives a reason for people to bring up the controversy surrounding Vickerman. Not major outlets but twitter bloggers, youtube reviewers, animation news sites, all it needs is for one of them to trend and Netflix is looking at some unnecessary bad PR. It makes sense to just kill it silently.
Plus, isn’t there a lawsuit against Vickerman and the studio or something? Maybe it’s too tight up in court to make a statment.
