>To be fair, DC would be boring if characters remembered all the tech/macguffins available to them.
I disagree to a large extent. Sure you can't have hero characters winning by such an absurd scale over regular enemies all the time, that would be boring. But I think that certain top-tier talented writers could indeed make some pretty badass and vastly entertaining stories by incorporating all of that rich history of cool shit in the arsenal of certain characters in the DCU.
>There's no reason for Bruce not to use all the alien (or even advanced human) tech or magical objects at his disposal.
It depends on the opponent I think, I mean Bruce did use that Hellbat suit to hold his own against Darseid that one time. It was a sik ass display of just some of his arsenal too.
>There is no reason to not send Joker to the Phantom Zone.
I think most of us would agree that the Joker is just too popular and iconic to simply disappear into the Phantom Zone forever. He's the Jerry to Batman's Tom.
>There's no way Clark or maybe even Barry or Diana would let Gotham stay as shitty as it is.
I think they've mentioned on some occassions that doing so would be like taking away the freewill of the people as shitty as crime is, it's a sideeffect of having freewill.
Really? Last time I'd chacked I didn't think paradox free time travel could be possible.
Hmmm, I thought Barry or one of the Flashes did travel into the future without negative consequences, isn't that how he beat Death and also how he lived in the future or some such?
>You could make excuses, but the reason characters don't use magic or tech that's basically magic to solve all their problems is because it would be boring.
To an extent I agree with this, yeah that's mostly true... for the average writer. Certain top quality writers could make it work if the stakes are high enough and if it's written well enough though.
