Sam becoming Captain America

>Sam becoming Captain America
>Peter inheriting a technology company
>Carol becoming Marvel's 'Wonder Woman'
>Jane becoming Thor

So how many other comic stories over the last decade were just Disney beta-testing ideas for the cinematic universe?
Or were they just always planning to do these things and made the comics do them as well so that fans couldn't complain about them 'not being true to the comics'

Repeating this meme endlessly won't make it come true
She's Superman

Rogers is the Superman equivalent. Even then Hulk, Thor, fuck even Spider-Man is more of a counterpart than Danvers.

Holy Shit, Marvel...

The cinematic universe was well underway when these changes were being made. Actors had already signed contracts for up to 6 movies by the time Winter Soldier was released- you really don't think Disney hadn't already started planning out Endgame when Sam became Captain America?

>spoiler
You're just realizing this now?

I don't think anyone's ever denied that they've been using the comics end of things to workshop ideas. I want to say it's been explicitly stated a few times, but I have no source to cite.

Yeah I definitely think they were going in reverse and tailoring the comics to the movies. People could argue that's what they should doing, adapting comics, but it's kind of cheating to ignore 7/8ths of the rest of the published comics and just focus on the ones that Disney changed recently.

Most of those aren't good ideas either. Just all agenda-pushing ideas.

>Peter inheriting a technology company

MCU Peter didn't inherit shit aside from drone-controlling glasses that will be conveniently forgotten in the next movie because they make him too OP.

This is why I think moving forward the Marvel Cinematic Universe is only going to get worse. Phase 1 was a fresh start and as a result they were able to take ideas from decades of excellent stories and incorporate them easily in their movies. But as the cinematic universe gets more and more dense we're going to see the movies are going to have to start relying on entirely original writing that's dependent on the creators and not the established stories that work.

>Peter inheriting a technology company
What meow?

In fairness, it's happened before.
>Nu52 Justice League's first arc was supposed to be the Justice League equivalent to Batman Year One/The Dark Knight Returns
>Bendis Guardians was a thinly veiled movie pitch, McNiven was even trying to get the designs into the movies
>New 52 Lobo was apparently supposed to be a template for a movie too

Something that happened when Peter Parker switched bodies with Doc Ock. Otto (as Peter) got a job in a laboratory, then eventually took over the company and re-branded it as Parker Industries.

>>Nu52 Justice League's first arc was supposed to be the Justice League equivalent to Batman Year One/The Dark Knight Returns
Unless the first arc jumped from the beginning to the end of the Justice League's story then I don't know what the fuck you're trying to say here.

She's much too dreary of a character to resemble either of them.

Oh, I thought this was going to be adapted into the MCU. Was a little worried for a sec.

I sure fucking hope not, most of those decisions were awful and executed terribly.

It's funny how Marvel made her less interesting with this "chosen one" retcon.

I think you mean ThunderCunt

>Character you only used because Rogue, Jean, Storm, Psylocke, Invisible Woman, Elektra, Spider-woman, She-Hulk were unavailable because somebody else had their rights and you didn't care to develop Wasp, Scarlet Witch or Black Widow.
>"Marvel's Wonder Woman"

Carl Manvers is irrelevant and hated all through the world, and will be Rey levels of infamous when she spearheads the destruction of the MCU just like she did the comics.

>'Marvel's Wonder Woman'

More like Marvel's Roman Reigns.

It did.

Well that's fucking stupid.

Man, you guys are just catching onto that, huh? I always figured the reason that so many characters were getting replaced in the comics for a while was so that the movies would have precedent for when the actors contracts ran up.

Bro this isn't about the movies, or the comics. This is just another thinly veiled excuse to complain about the libs.

Yeah problem?

You are the problem.

What if they licensed out captain America serum to other countries? There could be a captain America Brazil or a captain America Senegal it’s be really cool.

Aaron’s OC is going to appear in Thor 4. Only a matter of time until CGR appear in the MCU. It’s going to be dope!!!!
