GLITCH TECHS: What went wrong/right?

Waited like two years for this show, intro seemed great, theme song catchy as hell, and then it went on Netflix without any fanfare.

What went wrong? What went right?

The show itself was generic in plot and humor
That led to no real interest outside the lewdfags we knew would come since the start, and hindered potential viewers from watching the show given no one discusses it

It's fucking boring. Post Miko's ass

The memory wipe plot hook is so unnecessary. I stopped after the pilot. Are there every any sexy glitches at least?

>What went wrong
Nickelodeon being incompetent again

People expwcted the next big thing drom the creators of famboy and chumchum
Be glad they gave us a generic fapbait for the month tho.

It's a show only liked by coomers

Not enough porn of Miko

>what went right

None of the Big Three networks are interested in action anymore. This thing came out many years too late and had to snuffed out through executive fuckery.

*Five

I don't even watch it but I had a dream about Miko and now my erection for her cannot be sated

>What went wrong
Just put the whole fucking season out all at once or release an ep a week. This half an half garbage just kills discussion.

everything these days is the anti white male sjw show where women and minorities outsmart and beat up white men all the time.
a show that actually has positive white male heroes for once will be the next big hit

>put the whole fucking season out all at once
Hell, no! Having to sit through hours of backlog content, avoid spoilers and then try to find someone still willing to talk about it when you're all caught up is already the bane of bingeshit. No need to magnify this bullshit any further.

It's already bingeshit only now it's two helpings of it instead of one.

Cost too much. And now Netflix is holding on to part 2 of season1

Well at least 2 eps a weak.

Nickelodeon undercutting them at every turn does not mean it costs too much.

>What went wrong?

It feels like a 2000s teen hero show that time-traveled to today, so it feels outdated at times. Stretch Armstrong had the same problem, but at least it has an overarching story to keep things fresh. GT has none of that. While an episodic approach isn't inherently bad, it doesn't motivate a lot of discussion once the hype dies down. I finished the season, but I didn't feel compelled to watch it all immediately and watched one episode at a time.

Of course, this wouldn't be a problem if they renewed the show for more and the writers can adapt to Netflix's format. But it doesn't seem likely at this point.

>What went right?

The animation is mostly pretty neat. The video game references were above average. The fact that a show Nickelodeon tried hard to kill actually found a home, which is pretty awesome. Many promising shows don't get to walk away from that.

>actually found a home
We'll wait and see if that second season ever gets started before making that call.

It was a pretty standard adventure series. I'll watch the new episodes once they come out.

>then it went on Netflix without any fanfare

Isn't that the case with most of the cartoons the end up on nextflix? I don't remember seeing a lot of people go crazy for troll hunter or dragon prince.

More concept arts.

I mean, the fact that it's airing SOMEWHERE makes it a home. Being a Netflix exclusive also guarantees it never gets removed like so many of their licensed shows.

Trollhunters and Dragon Prince actually get decent discussion, especially the latter. There are other shows that barely get discussed at all, like Legend Quest (unless they're lewding Teodora), Stretch Armstrong, Kulipari, or those really bad Tarzan and King Kong shows. Also, 80% of most of Dreamworks cartoons.

not enough Trollhunters discussion in general. Hope Wizards will reignite people talking about my boy Jim.

I'm just glad the fandom only has one hyperautist.
