I'm surprised that this series is doing so well, literally every other attempt to be woke across all media ( Star Wars, Battlefield V, New Warriors, Last of Us 2, etc...) has turned into a massive dumpster fire and caused the majority of people to associate the SJW movement with a bunch of whiny hypocrites who think they're better than everyone else.

This is because they put her in a gay relationship with poison ivy, and they want these characters to be some sort of progressive symbols while old villains and heros are made out to be cis-white-bad guys. Female characters are regularly made out to be motivantionally complex and ultimately blameless while male characters are gross, incompetent, conservative sexists. They probably also try to make some statements about mental health with Harley. Some other bad guys who aren’t explicitly white are probably also seen as misunderstood, tragic heros in the same way.

How right/wrong am I? Again, I never watched it.

You really think someone as smart as the riddler would have figured out that giant hamster wheels, while funny, would be a TERRIBLE way to generate electricity.
