Because historic context doesn't mean anything to outrage fags.
Somebody commented on this in the last thread but it died before I could answer.
The reason that the Censored Eleven are grouped as such despite other cartoons with racist elements having been made by Warner Brothers is because they are the eleven cartoons whose racist elements are so prevalent to the core story of the overall short that it would be impossible to censor the toon without essentially removing everything within it.
The grouping of the toons came about when Warner Brothers began releasing their classic library of shorts for syndicated release, making alterations based upon the changes in modern culture between the original release and the syndicated short. For the racist toons that could be censored without removing an extreme amount of the core story, they were. For the Censored Eleven, they weren't.
Ever since, they've only been available at best through bootleg VHS/DVD releases. However, there were plans around ten years ago to re-release the Censored Eleven on an official DVD or Blu-ray release. Warner Brothers had even had the shorts digitally restored and screened at a film festival. However, no official release has ever come out since this screening occurred.
If you want to make a cartoon about Nigger-Lips Jim and Retard the Super Spic, go on to Newgrounds or ask for donations on bitchute. No one's stopping you; just don't expect the next Disney movie to be The Legend of Kike Curtis.
What's so funny about being black?
FYI black people at the time fucking loved this cartoon. It featured black voice actors, and was relatable. Its only modern yuppies complaining that its racist.
Link for any faggot zoomers that havent actually watched it.
You love whatever representation you can get. That's why blacks claim characters like Knuckles and Piccolo as honorary blacks; even tablescraps are good enough when you don't have shit on the table.
Pretty much. 99% of complainers are rich white people with nothing better to do who want to feel like victims and brave fighters against injustice, while telling other people what to do, since they're rich and entitled.
The other 1% are rich people of color suffering from the same problem.
I can't say how blacks felt about it, but Bob Clampet did his homework here. He did hire black voice actors and actually went to jazz bars to study this shit.
You gotta be black to say them
>Blacks have so few characters to call their own
>Use Japanese created characters
really makes you think
>fully restored official home video release never
We got so close a couple of years ago as well.
>the entire cartoon is "What is Snow White was a dumb nigger?"
>People are fighting tooth and nail to protect it
This is basically one of those Merry Melodies with the Hobo Mouse in them; no one actually give a shit about them, but the minute you say so, tons of snobs and hipsters come out of the woodwork to defend its honour.
Same thing with blackface singers like Al Jolson. Blackface performance helped bring black music to a white audience, and The Jazz Singer (where this "infamous" picture is from) was a story about a Jewish man (like Jolson himself) putting on blackface as an allegory for their common struggle. Black people loved the movie, and you can find countless quotes of black people from the era praising all his performaces did in gaining acceptance for their community. Wokeness is the radical denial of context.
Knuckles and Piccolo have no real "race", so its easier to latch on to them. Meanwhile, most Western shows had (and still have) prodominantly if not all-white casts. If its impossible or unfair to expect white kids to relate to gays and minorities, logiclly the reverse should be true as well.
Here comes the cope
>Wokeness is the radical denial of context
Excellent line, I'm going to remember that.
It's like I'm really on Yas Forums!
because of the unnatural things you did to your dog
>shit load of half baked racist dumbassery , you user are a jackass
>Comic San , you user ARE A FUCKING MONSTER
I mean, a black dude was the one who convinced the National Film Registry to add "Birth of a Nation" to their preservation list because he understood that the film DID fit all three of the selection criteria. That doesn't mean that he turned a blind eye to how fucked up the film is, though. Modern blacks typically do the same:try acknowledge how fucked up something was while also still liking what it did. Most of them love All in the Family and don't give a shit that Sanford and Son was written by whites. What's important is that they have shows that they can call their own.
None of this makes it any less racist though. You're also only choosing the context that supports your argument, not choosing to see why something so blatantly fucked up and racist would be considered positive (could it be that everything else otherwise was even more fucked up and racist than that, making it pretty shitty existence overall?)
Can I think Coal Black is sexy?
>Modern blacks typically do the same:try acknowledge how fucked up something was while also still liking what it did.
The problem with the "SJW" movement, for lack of a better term, is that they can't do this. As you say, the ideal position would be admitting a work is still enjoyable and has artistic merit while also admitting it has moral failings and recognizing those. However, the go-to response seems to be to pretend that the second they find something "problematic" in a work it loses all value, and should never be allowed to be enjoyed again. It's like when all those people on twitter tried to "cancel" Friends when they watched it on Netflix and saw it had gay jokes.

Based and checked
she cute
I always thought it was a shame the American blackface fad ruined the ability to push black faces characteristics in caricatures. Despite bigger fuller lips being a notable characteristic of many black men and women's faces, if you tried to go to the extreme like you would normally with any other race, it would be racist. I really adored the golliwog design as a kid, but it's racist because they're too dark and have the classic red lips. A lot of nice character designs are probably barred from ever seeing the light of day.
