And so the true identity of Leviathan, a villain wrapped in mystery that had been hyped up for months, is...some guy that had no clues pointing in his direction and no emotional connection to any of the characters involved in the story. Brilliant move, Bendis.
ITT: Unsatisfying big reveals
>ITT: Unsatisfying big reveals
Wouldn't that be a lot of Bendis comics? I can't remember the last time there was a big reveal from him that didn't end up being a "wow, it's fucking nothing" feeling.
So is the superman line doing better? Did DC throw bendis at it to get results?
Minor nitpick, but I've never seen a ñ drawn like that
It's always shit with bendis.
Here's the sales from February.
> {SUPERMAN #20 (ALL) (DC) - 39,255}
> {ACTION COMICS #1020 (ALL) (DC) - 34,162}
> {LEGION OF SUPER HEROES #4 (ALL) (DC) - 30,675}
> 59. LEVIATHAN DAWN #1 (DC) - 28,149 [42]
> 111. LOIS LANE #8 (DC) - 16,827 [115]
> 144. SUPERMANS PAL JIMMY OLSEN #8 (DC) - 12,268 [157]
I'd say, no. Hopefully they'll realize their mistake soon and rollback the changes, in particular, deage/reset/rescue young Jon from earth 3 and bring back Super-Sons.
I don't know if that counts, but Doomsday Clock, as we've been teased for that even for almost a decade, with Manhattan fucking with big names (Reverse Flash, Mxy, that girl form the Trinity Sins, Mobius...) only for a fart.
It's still playing out with Wally and has been teased to factor in as far in the future as the Secret Crisis Marvel crossover.
Not that that's not all going to suck and be super disappointing asspulls as well, I'm just saying that Doomsday Clock is clearly not the resolution to this story.
This mother fucker right here!
We could have had a new villain that was actually a new big threat for Marvel. But no, it's just Dr. Doom. Dr. Fucking Doom again.
the real question is, is it better or worse then heroes in crisis
When OP once again turned out to be a faggot. C'mon! Get some new material, world!
The only good thing about that mess was Fraction getting to spoil it a month before Bendis did the actual reveal.
Whats he doing these days? Wasnt he some sort of Iron-man with a restored face?
Also what happened with the maker? Did he move from designated jobber?
What is sadder is that he is still being pushed. ROGAR ZAAR failed so now Bendis is shilling this.
I think the best thing, especially illustrated here is that no other writer gave a single fuck about what Bendis was doing with his little event/mystery. Seriously, it was a event only Bendis books gave a shit about, and despite being so world changing nothing became of it.
Better, heroes in crisis sucked so much ass. You can't convince me that it was anything other than some stupid marketing ploy that only failed in the end like it deserved to
Oh so it's just DA HOODZ or Ronin again lol
>dude Supes is FINALLY gonna BTFO that blue douchebag, or at least someone that looks like him is gonna kill the faggot
>oh nevermind he just talked to him or something
argh
Yeah, if Leviathan had been, say, The Guardian, it would have at least had some connection to the Superman mythos, and Superman knows him enough that his betrayal would have meant something to him. Mark Shaw means nothing to anybody.
>Jimmy selling the worst
A shame, since it's unironically the best of the bunch.
Maker is in Venom working with the Council of Reeds to try to get himself back to the restored 1610.
>Actually, I am Xorn's brother pretending to be Magneto pretending to be Xorn.
Zorn is overrated in the first place, let's be honest
One of Bendis' last moves at Marvel was resurrecting the Ultimate Universe (that he helped destroy), and yet absolutely nothing came from that. No re-establishment of the Ultimate line, no further nods, nothing. No one cares about Bendis' nonsense anymore. Fuck him.
The Ultimate Universe dying was a mercy kill. Towards the end the Ultimates became a group of teen B-listers, Ult FF was garbage, and Ult X-Men was just... weird. It really should have died during Galactus's arrival (Catacylsm?). There were just no creative juices left, they'd killed off pretty much everyone who mattered and just started spinning wheels. President Cap was a sad reminder of what kind of awesome stories they could have been doing, but...
>No re-establishment of the Ultimate line, no further nods, nothing.
Ewing used some ultimate crap, dunno if before what you're talking about.
>The Ultimate Universe dying was a mercy kill.
Yeah, fuck you.
Look into your heart, you know it was true. Most of it post-Death of Spider-Man was a mess
>Most of it post-Death of Spider-Man was a mess
That only made it more interesting, I don't see why they ended it
First people have to care enough about him to overrate him.
Wait, they retconned Crazy!Wanda into creating that?
People are under the impression OHOTMU matters to literally anyone in the Marvel offices and isn't just a naked cash grab written by the janitor's interns.
Why would the council of Reeds help that motherfucker?
Wasnt Bendis full
>Superman and punching is boring. Best enemies are not bricks that need punching
Than he presents us just a "not-doomsday kind of villian"?
Because if he's back in his own universe they won't have to worry about him fucking up others.
