Wilson's cartoons appeared for decades in PLAYBOY, THE NEW YORKER, NATIONAL LAMPOON and THE MAGAZINE OF FANTASY AND SCIENCE FICTION

W-what happens next?

I loved playing the Haunted House game when I was a kid. Tried to play it on emulator, but my laptop can't handle it. Pity, is a comfy game.

She gets a lump of coal for being naughty. Obviously.

I was so bad as a kid that Santa used to come and TAKE my toys

I like putting a good spin on the situation

She's being punished for being a bad boy.

...wait, what?

I am not into dark humor but these pictures have some great quality.
Maybe this one not so much, the punch line feels absent unlike the rest.

I thought Charles Addams was much more sly and subtle, and he had better draftsmanship. But I started seeing Gahan Wilson at an impressionable age. So I have a fondness for him.

Ha!

who is talking?

There was a great Alfred Hitchcock episode on a similar theme, "Specialty of the House." That show had the best twist endings.

The woman, or maybe the alien posing as a human. She DID warn him.

Pretty sure Jack Kirby drew a story or two like this for the Atlas monster comics.

An all time favorite, should be on the wall in any optometrist office.

I wish there was a complete collection of his work that I could buy.

Google "Krampus"

Imagine everyones surprise when it turned out they do have bodies.

I think there are about twenty collections. I had five or six myself. He drew a truckload of cartoons over the years.

But I don't think the collections are organized well. My guess is he did quite a few for less well known magazines that have never been reprinted
