I need help, guys
In Hotel Transylvania 2, the plot is their son is born without any vampire abilities. But Mavis turns into a bat while pregnant. Does their son turn into a bat, too? Or is he just a tiny human baby inside a bat womb?

this is a legitimate discussion
Don't think too hard about it
Honestly applauding pregnant tummy in cartoon
>Mavis is not visibly pregnant when she tells Drac she needs to talk to him about something in human vampire form
>probably in her first trimester
>she turns into a bat a few secinds later
>suddenly she is visibly pregnant with a big belly
I’m guessing it’s the second one. With Drac being such a big part of her life, I wouldn’t be surprised if he were the second person Mavis told after her test turned out positive, right after Johnny. It’s probably not something you’re supposed to think about too much, though.
Is a bat's womb big enough for a first trimester human baby?
Probably? Depends on the bat and how late the pregnancy is. But if we assume optimal conditions, it should be pretty plausible. Like we could assume that when vampires transform into bats, they get to be their own unique nonexistent fantasy species of bat, which we’ll guess could be up to the size of a fruitbat, or the largest bat there is. And it’s also very possible that Johnny and Mavis were trying to get pregnant, or at least maybe expecting the possibility of a pregnancy, so Mavis could have been testing for and become aware of the pregnancy very early on. Or maybe she might even have vampire powers or something that let her know about the pregnancy even sooner than a human relying on testing.
It's fine because this is the form she was in when she got knocked up.
Didn't consider that
Now I applaud you sir
It WAS magic, he was just fucked to not get any magic for himself.
It is best not to inquire too closely as to how magical shapechanging works. It leads to discussions like this one, e.g. fetishposting.
The fetus got magical powers as long as the mother's umbilical cord is connected. Once he was born and it was cut, he lost any leech connection of Mavis' magical vampire abilities.

Actually, if I remember correctly she didn't seem to show any major signs of pregnancy while she was in her normal form during this scene. Perhaps her child remained the same size meaning that what is barely noticeable in her normal form would be very noticeable in her smaller bat form.
Id be pretty pissed off if one of my parents was an immortal being with magic powers, and I was born a normal human. Id do everything I could to gain those powers. Could Mavis just bite him and give him vampire powers?
Do they operate on oldschool vampire rules where they can drink your blood without turning you, OR they can bite you to put vampire blood in and change you?
Please don't let this thread die, I'm genuinely curious about this
He gets his vamp powers later on in the movie. Also dhampirs are more broken than pure vamps most of the time since they get all the powers, long life, and such without the weaknesses.
Imagine fucking an immortal being, ending up with a spouse and child with immortality and magic powers, and you are still normal and will die while they live on for 1000's of years.
>implying Mavis won't convert Jonathan before he grows old
There’s no indication that “turning” into a vampire is a thing in the Hotel Transylvania Universe. The fact it is never once brought up, the allusion to a long history of the persecution of vampires, and especially Mavis’s birth to two vampire parents who apparently fucked the old fashion way and made a vampire baby who grew up into a vampire adult- all this indicates that in the Hotel Transylvania franchise, vampires are a monster race like some kinda elf, and not undead humans who used to be normal.
For some reason they did include at least one joke that implies that Frank actually is a reanimated dead thing created from sewing together pieces of multiple human corpses, though.
Pregnancy has always weirded me out.
There's a fucking person inside you.
>Pregnancy is reverse vore
idk but I wanna jizz on her bat belly and rub it into her fur
I probably shouldn't tell you about the spooky skeletons.
You were inside her all long, my little shota.
Be glad you’re not a woman then
That’s incredibly arousing
