Grunkle Stan getting his memories back for real was a cop out.

Stan, if you’re not gonna kill him, at least memory wipe him, have a consequence

i don't feel particularly attached to any of the characters

Yeah, it should make things interesting. Why did our boy Hirsch do this?

This was an episodic show about Dipper trying to fuck Wendy and Mabel guy of the week
This show has been far exceeded by other shows in animation, humor, plot, serialization, and character development and if you say it's the best anything I can't take your opinion seriously as you were just advertised it was a good show or are still rose tinted from fan theories that weren't deserving for this show

He wanted to end the show on a high note I guess. Having Stan actually lose his memories could have made for some neat plot threads moving forward, but he probably wanted to move onto other projects rather than see his baby get taken over by someone else or deteriorate.

Not enough lewds.

Some shit about Disney stuff not having a sad ending. Bitch, please. Mufasa got trampled to death

Alot of the "mystery" elements once you watch it all at once just feel like bait for "analysis" youtubers.
Having weirdmageddon come so soon right after the author appeared felt too soon.
Overall having the author been a twin brother trapped in another dimension felt underwhelming. Sure it would've been obvious as grunkle stan, but it still kinda demolished the mystery feel S1 set up.

>but he probably wanted to move onto other projects rather than see his baby get taken over by someone else or deteriorate.
>His project is getting taken over from him

the finale wasn't crazy enough

Felt incredibly rushed

It's not that great of a show, folks. Too many jokes fall flat, character designs are uninspired, soundtrack is generic, the characters, while not unlikeable, are not that endearing, and a lot of eps cover the same ground ( Dipper's crush on Wendy or wanting to grow up too fast, Mabel having a summer romance, etc )

>Say something negative about it
Disney deserves to collapse for dishonouring the canon with a noncreditted book...
Oh wait: that's positive. -_-

That the main antagonist who is designed and depicted as the ''eye that sees everything'' its just a lolrandom demon that only wants to party as his goal.

This. Even back in 2012, there were better serialized cartoons on the air, like AT and Season 1 of Korra. Regular Show, while not as serialized, was also more sophisticated and relaxed, didn't try as hard.

That's because they're not that endearing or likeable. Yas Forums likes to shit on Adventure Time, but characters like Jake or Marceline were far more likeable than anyone in GF

Oh, bitch, I love it when you show up propping up AT when even SU and Star shits on it

Mabel never got called out by being the absurdly selfish cunt she was.

>Jake
Jake was a massive asshole who didn't care for anyone but himself
Mabel tier

That old guy has a tumblr nose and the girl in the plaid doesn't have big enough tits. Also I've never seen it.

Star is one of the worst cartoons of the 2010s, get out of here

With all the shit that happened is disappointing that no one died
I know is a child's cartoon but could be off screen.

Maybe, but he didn't try too hard to earn the viewer's affection like Mabel did

I know and AT is below even that. The very creator thought it was so shitty he said bye

The character designs are a little bland.

This; it was something a little different after years of Adventure Time wackiness so it was appreciated more than it deserved.

Hirsh planned out a climax where Dipper let down his adventure partner Mabel but never did the legwork of making the two adventure partners so it just came off as Mabel being a whiny brat.

The voices for the kids and Stanley are really not casted well. Dipper looks like a cherub but talks like he's in his 20's. Schall is just doing the same voice she always does. Alex is imitating an old man voice and it shows. Stanford is just J.K. Simmons as usual. The road trip episode is stupid, like men aren't supposed to approach women or pursue someone else if they know a friend has a crush on them. It ended at a good point. I wish Disney gave as much love to Wander Over Yonder as they do this show.

It's Disney, everything has to be happiness and rainbows at the end, just read how the original little mermaid fairy tale differs from the movie version.
