Characters who were obviously written as opposite gender
Me, but I already coped with that
>stupid whores
They're obviously written as realistic females.
Anne is based on the creator's grandmother, right down to the bushy hair.

Did their grandmother fuck frogs?
that’s why I like Anne, she isn’t written as a girl first and a character second, she’s just someone who happens to be a girl. it’s refreshing
Anne was written by a guy and it shows. She is boyish to cringe levels.
not really, I don’t think Anne is particularly feminine or particularly masculine, she just kinda does whatever. she’s not full tomboy but she’s not a girly girl either and the show doesn’t have to continually point it out, it just lets her exist as a normal fucking character, and it’s nice to see
This.
Devil's advocate but it could just be her appearance that's based on his grandma and not her personality
Steven doesn’t act anything like an actual boy; boys have energy and aggression and they don’t cry anywhere near the amount Steven does. Sucrose and co’s ideal image of a male hero is so feminized he might as well be a woman.
I do not understand what OP means, but I like Amphibia so far...
I haven't watched this show, but you realize tomboys are a thing that exist right?
The gender police understand only one thing and thats the rage of daddy beating them with a cord for playing with mommy's lipstick
Korra is a dumb whore, but she is a well written antithesis to aang, who was a chad.
Some guys are just chill
He was raised by three female-coded aliens you retard. This isn't the 80's anymore, kids aren't one thing or the other.
God, I wish Ranma had been good. It's a weird thing to say out of the blue. But, whenever I see one of the characters, I think about the potential it might have had had it not been created by Rumiko.
Damn, that hurts and I've never even expirienced that. Shits true though.
you haven't watched the entire show, have you?
Me neither to be desu. Anne is plenty feminine, not just in surface-level stuff like using the scented bath bomb or being easily grossed out in Girl Time, but also in her central character flaw of doing dumb things because she wants to be accepted. That's why she stole the Calamity Box, and it's why she put berries on her face when her acne went away. She wanted the frogs to accept her. That's also why Sasha, who doles out recognition instead of seeking it, is her counterpart.
The same character flaw in males tends to be told differently. The episode Dragon Quest from the-show-that-must-not-be-named comes to mind.
As the protagonist, Anne is written in a way to appeal to both boys and girls. She has some moments where she kinda acts boyish, but there are more moments where she acts girly. There’s even an entire episode about it.
Anne is NOT a tomboy. Anyone who says so is wrong. Saying “cool” and “dude” a lot isn’t an inherently boy quality. The most boyish thing she ever did was wear a suit in one episode, but that was likely just a one-off gag
In SUF Steven was a boy will be boy
whatever you say user
>and they don’t cry anywhere near the amount Steven does.
Tell that to my 8-year old nephew who cries all the fucking time over anything sad in a movie or TV show. He saw Titanic the other day and bawled for 30 minutes straight. Then my father (So his grandfather) heard he saw Titanic but not that he cried and thought he had an interest in the history, and bought him a little kids history book about Titanic and my nephew started crying again. Really felt like I was back in the 90's.
Morons who think any girl who doesn't constantly want to wear makeup and fawn after boys calling them "dreamy" isn't girlish and is written to be a boy.
How else are you supposed to cure AIDS?
Thread is already uber gay with a retarded OP who's never watched a cartoon in his life.
Literally one of the earliest episodes of Amphibia is her forcing Polly along on a girl's night out to get away from the boys against her wishes.
Try again and use your brain next time dipshit.
Explain what she does that you consider "boyish" so we can point and laugh when you say, "She fights off monsters with a stick, only BOYS do that!".
