Fucking where?

Event Leviathan by Bendis & Maleev

He shouldn't be a villain >:(

I finally read this run a few weeks ago and I got to say it's probably my favorite run of Aquaman. So right after PAD's The Atlantis Chronicles but before PAD's Time and Tide this 13 issue run by a guy named Shaun McLaughlin came out. I guess Peter David was too busy and had other obligations after TAC to work on Aquaman stuff so DC hired this guy in the meantime. McLaughlin had a great feel for the character making Aquaman's suffering relatable and his temperament understandable. A lot happen's in this run without being overly wordy and McLaughlin tried to make as many callback to the silver age series as he could. I tried find out why McLaughlin hasn't done anything since and all could find is an interview he did for an Aquaman blog 12 years ago. A pretty enlightening read if you can find it.

What site did you save this HQ cover from?

Readcomiconline has a much lessee quality scan of that series.

Assuming it's the same Shaun McLaughlin, he became a producer at WB and worked on Justice League.

He's been one since the 70s

The Punisher (Edmondson)
East of West
God Complex
Vargr (Bond comic by Dynamite Entertainment)
Most of the pre-Disney acquisition Star Wars stuff

only The Ring of the Niblungs is ever brought up.

I forgot DC sometimes releasese good books

It's also where that great
>HOW'S THE WIFE AND CHILD
comes from

Palmiotti and Gray tried so hard for years to make Freedom Fighters happen.
The New 52 version they were building up to was the saddest part, since they never even got to the actual team.

It's because each one had terrible sales, but Didio had a soft spot for them.
I'd say that the first two "new" miniseries were fine, but the third one (the "ongoing") was pretty bad.
Then the New 52 piecemeal version of it completely failed from a sales perspective.
Same thing happened with the recent Maxiseries.

He got better in the 80's

and became a villain again in the katehunter series

This shit will never be collected. Thinking of having my issues custom bound

DC put out some god-tier minis and maxis in the late 80s-90s

Oh yeah, no one cares about that shit tho.

being Mark Shaw is unfortunate

I wish the Freedom Fighters and All Star Squadron got more focus.
