I THINK WE BETTER THINK OF SOMETHING

It always found a way to adapt itself well enough to each generation for reasons even I don't get.

(Not that THIS generation, albeit for the wrong ones, minded Ghoul School)

Ironic memes and waifus obviously doesn't count

The simplicity and relatability of it’s characters.
Don’t believe me? Watch this:

The older it gets the funnier it becomes

50+ years together and Shaggy&Scooby and Daphnie still doesn't seem like real friends

it funny sometimes

Scooby Doo is consistently fucking based

It's really hard to fuck up and has (mostly) been consistently great.

Velma.

A Pup Named

Velma

really? in any series where they interact they actually have a decent amount of chemistry. Girly girl who plays the straight man to wacky stoner. Honestly all of the group dynamics have their strengths.

Daphine

Ghoul School. If WB played their cards right, they could've made it a property that rivals the horse show by now.
The serious answer would be: it's a comfy series that works on a formula. The formula itself is surprisingly versatile since there's a lot of supernatural(?) occurrences IRL that the gang can take on.

The original series actually holds up surprisingly well and is still really entertaining
Later spinoffs ranged all over the place but there were still some gems in there, Ghoul School was actually really neat even dropping all the masturbatory shit and Pup Named Scooby Doo was one of few "what if they were kids" cartoons to actually get it right.
Some of the earlier movies that started out in the 90s, especially Zombie Island but really everything up to Cyber Chase, were fun.
Mystery Inc. was a genuinely great show.

Mostly the original and Mystery Inc. The rest is just more of the same tired gimmick.

I'd rather tie her up

The basic formula is pretty simple, ragtag group of teens and their dog solve mysteries. Makes it pretty easy to manipulate to fit into any current generation of people, but still be enjoyable by anyone

Am I the only one who thought they were in their 20s? As a kid they looked far too old to me to be in their mid-to-late teens.

I barely remember any of those but feel like the witch one was best for some reason.

Zombie Island is regularly considered the best but the Witch one is regularly placed right next to it, both are worth giving a rewatch IMO. There's kind of a gradual slide in quality with the movies but they were still solid up to and including Cyber Chase, there's just a clearly stronger emphasis towards a younger audience as they go on

I didn't think so either, but they're definitely supposed to be teens. Guess they just never learned how to really draw teenagers

It goes without saying
