God these little diagram doodles are just too precious.
But what monster decided a hug should last no more than 10 seconds?
It certainly puts things into perspective in this world. I can understand pets being seen as more "important" than an android, as they are living things, but androids are clearly far more "intelligent" than any animal. It kinda shows how people view androids in this setting. They're tools, accessories, "the help."

As for the discussion topic, well. I do feel like sentient androids should be placed above animals since their roles more directly involve tasks humans do/are capable of. The nuances they're able to pick up should also contribute to this.

I dunno, for a greeting hug 10 seconds is quite long, and anything beyond that just gets into cuddling desu, part of a picking up what physical contact is normal between humans is knowing the limits on it, even if the bounds an android company creates seem arbitrary
