Why are atheists assholes? A guy I know posts a lot of atheist stuff on social media, but instead of defending his points, he just shits on Christians. I mean, everybody has the right to believe whatever, but he's being a dick about it.

The most vocal people in any religious debate are invariably assholes. Televangelists, street preachers, etc. All assholes. Atheists aren't anything special in that regard, but there aren't many atheists willing to admit to being as such, so it looks like, per capita, there are more asshole atheists.

That's mainly a christian thing lots of religions have no qualms about using their deities name's and some even have frequent reference to their worship as a norm

As a Christfag, I don't care if he's an atheist and I agree with his point that some Christians do fucked up shit in the name of God, but he actually shits on Christianity as a whole in his posts when no one's attacking him.
