They took Futurama They have their own late night block called TNZT or something They even have an animation block on Saturday nights And their random and random animated bumps between shows mostly involving not-dumbledore smoking weed
Is [adult swim] really that fucking successful to have other channels try to go to war with [as]?
So far syfy's selection is just some webtoons they licensed, it's practically filler more than anything resembling a proper block. Harley Quinn is a big deal because it's an actual show, but they said they're going to show 2 hours of it every week. Then what? Back to webtoons? Is their whole block just Harley Quinn suddenly?
Thomas Cruz
Syfy doesn’t know what to do and most of the time they dump money into a show and then cancel it because they remembered nobody watches their channel.
Kevin Miller
need to air more harry potter and black princess leia space show
Leo Martinez
>their own late night block called TNZT or something TZGZ. Only reason I remember is because it's one letter in the alphabet later and the tagline is "It's after Syfy".
I only started watching it because of Cyanide and Happiness posting about their shit being there. I stopped watching when I realized it isn't anything I haven't seen on YouTube already.
Hunter Evans

Holy Shit! How will Adult Swim ever recover???
Joshua Morales
>Cancels Krypton and Lobo show because hurrr >Airs Harley Quinn instead because durrr
i still dont get it. i seen the futuramas to death, other shows never heard of and the movie was the one time i didnt get an erection watching Scarlet
Bentley Nelson
>Repurposed web shows >Futurama >Old anime movie that is cheap to license
Lazy!
Hudson Roberts
I remember Saturdays it was horror movies all day on Syfy Hey do u remember the channel chiller it was a horror movie channel Since we are talking about cable/satellite TV I have a antenna. TV I bought antenna from big lots
Benjamin Johnson
How do you know about cable/Satelite TV I got antenna tv I bought it from big lots I cut the cord as you whipper snappers would say
David Price
What kind of webtoons?
Liam Watson
Just bring back an anime block. Air old shit that may or may not be good.
Isaiah Moore
I’m still pissed at them for canceling HAPPY! Just as it was getting an audience
Justin Turner
>Syfy
I still refuse to accept this name. It's been 11 fucking years and I'm still cringing.
Joshua Jenkins
Fireworks/Twilight Zone is comfy as shit and I enjoyed watching Ghost Hunters on Wednesday nights as a kid, other than that Syfy doesn't have much to offer
Andrew Cruz
I think Netflix may buy it.
Nathaniel Thomas
i totally forgot about that show
Jeremiah Gutierrez
There’s a Cyanide and Happiness cartoon??
Lincoln Flores
This. Back in the day, before the rebrand to Syfy, they had one of the first anime blocks and paved the way for Toonami. It would be nice to see them try that again, especially if they still somehow have the rights to some of those older shows and movies.
Caleb Thomas
It's just the stuff they've posted to YouTube already. Same with Purgatony.
Lucas Lopez
last time an NBC channel played anime, it went fucking horribly. Chiller played it for 3 weeks on wednesdays without advertising it at all
Grayson Bell
Realistically how much horror anime is there to longterm sustain that?
Dylan Lee
[AS] will win in the end because Syfy is failing to promote itself. No really, when was the last time anyone here saw a Syfy add outside of the channel itself?
Well, I think that Merlin show lasted for a while so someone out there has to be watching. Maybe?
>Chiller played it for 3 weeks on wednesdays without advertising it at all And yet, the Syfy animation block is only advertised slightly better. Really, if I was working with Syfy, I would be kicking someone for not jumping on Dr. Stone the moment it started gaining traction.
Lucas Rodriguez
There is, but it looks like Syfy is just airing their youtube shorts over it. Even though I'm pretty sure the show has never aired on a 'proper' tv station and they'd probably be able to market as an exclusive of some sort.
Does help that they don't seem to have any original content.
Bentley Murphy
lmao, compare that lineup to what AS got in Syndication in it's first 2 years, Family included.
Other than YJ and BWTB {as} never aired DC shows nor have they tried to make one for the block
Ayden Walker
>Does help that they don't seem to have any original content. You can say that again. They are taking shows that originally were Vrv exclusives. Sure they are great shows, but come on.
Gavin Cox
Honestly it's interesting they've never done that considering their relationship (and now acquisition) with Warner Bros. I guess Robot Chicken has done a lot of DC stuff though.
Andrew Sullivan
I'm not sure but they didn't even try. They just looked at the title and got it. I mean they got Devil May Cry: The Animated Series and Is This a Zombie?
