well, the whole idea about the xmen is a analogy of the race riots in the 60s and how mutants want to fight for rights in society and Professor X is like Martian Luther King Jr. who wants peace between mutants and humans like blacks and whites. and Magneto is like Malcom X who wants Mutants or Black People to be the rulers of the world.

I got a real question: Why do so many X-Men characters become pirates? What's the correlation?
