Good animation mostly. Glen Keane and his crew went to Paris and studied anatomy under masters of the human form in preparation for this film. Brain Blessed's performance as Clayton was also the perfect level of ham for this kind of pulp adventure.

I mean the series shows they're doing fine in the jungle. A trade outpost is even established so they have access to items from civilization. But without that context I can see how the ending would be fucked up in an adult perspective.
