>Requiem Vampire Knight >one of the most beautifully drawn comics known to man >every page is a stunning work of art by Olive LeDroit >written by the amazing Pat Mills >was only published in Heavy Metal magazine in the early 00's >published in volumes by "Panini Comics" but they are all long out of print >only choices are reading it digitally like a fag or buying volumes off ebay for insane prices
Somebody save me from this living hell. I just want to read these in my hand as an actual book. Why arent there big hardcorver editions of this, with giant pages to see all the detail, and all still in print?
Honestly, i wish they toned down the humour a bit. I would prefer the book to fully embrace the edge and have a dark story, like, ditch the orgasm stealing monkey
Bentley Lee
Yes, I can jerk off to this
Jack Cook
No one reads Requiem for the story, if you want it to gush over the art, french is the best way to go as has the dialog boxes where the artist originally planed for them to be.
I would probably even avoid the Heavy Metal version since the art is stretched out to fit HM's magazine format. so it's missing all the cool tapestry designs in the gutters
Camden Williams
>No one reads Requiem for the story
Its one of those "So bad its good" kind of things.
Just what the hell is this the art is great but it looks so dumb on paper
Austin Evans
You look dumb on paper
William Wood
EXTREMELY edgy french comic with amazing artwork. Like many edgy euro comics, Heavy Metal magazine was the only way for it to get published in north america at the time.
Camden Moore
>Just what the hell is this Hell it is. Literally.
Daniel James
It's always the french. Anyway, it's called heavy metal then? I'll give it a look.
Anthony Morris
It's called Requiem Vampire Knight
Juan Long
you gotta remember Requiem came out in 2000, by 2003 when the Heavy version came out that had been the only place to even sniff a European comic in the states
Grayson Evans
No, Its called "Requiem Knight Vampire". In french its called "Requiem Chevalier Vampire". Heavy Metal Magazine is a magazine that gets a new issue every 3-4 months that collects various adult themed comics from different artists and writers.
Funny thing, art is amazing but constant cursing, edgy humour, infernal setting with bunch of overpowered overlords and abundance of small details in the art that makes it rather heavy to read actually reminds me of Hazbin Hotel. Yes, I know Requiem is far older, I saw it here many years ago when someone storytimed it.
Daniel Phillips
>Yas Forums not knowing what Heavy Metal is
can we have SOME gatekeeping here going on? the Yas Forumsmblr is real
Landon Lewis
I was planning on storytiming Joe Kubert's Sojourn to edumacate people
Wyatt Walker
lmao what
Joshua Rivera
I notice that the traffic in this board in general is lacking as hell. I wouldn’t even mind some gatekeeping, I just miss the shelf threads so much.
Sebastian Martinez
>pat mills Slaine is about his only good work.
This is just good for the art.
Mills is so far up his own ass it's hard to take him seriously.
That said I do love his rants. The future shock DVD where he bitches about everyone and in turn everyone bitches about him is worth the entrance money alone.
Jason Flores
They still happen lad. Just die so quick these days.
