Legends Obi Wan
This, but they'll probably not use Legends Kenobi and just go with shitty revised canon nu-wars Kenobi. Or if they do go Legends they'll miss out on a lot of stuff. Either way they could leave out a ton of things from him. Could possibly be another Scout-Tracer scenario.
Ultraguy's (dude who's on the Research Team) blog listed Legends as being valid
Both blogs for Kakashi and Obi-Wan look somewhat more barren than they should is because he quickly rushed them out for the blog (the information collected in total was by two other guys)
they only use canon stuff right?
They included Legends for Boba Fett and Vader because while it's no longer canon, it was originally THE canon (Fett vs Samus 2 literally had a joke where they finished Fett's rundown early because the EU got retconned until Wiz said "Well that's stupid so here's what happened in the Expanded Universe"
They're not using alternate timeline stuff that was never canon at all like the story where Vader turned good
I mean they usually go relatively deep looking for shit, but the wierd fuckery Disney did with de-canonizing everything puts a weird wrench into it. But if is true and they do go Legends, shit's going to be insane.
It's legit
>“Legends” of course refers to the old Expanded Universe, from this I will be using comics and books that occur between and after the numbered movies, for example the Dark Horse comics, Thrawn Trilogy, and Legacy of the Force novels, but not alternate timelines or universes such as “Star Wars Infinities” which aren’t even canon to the original EU (For example, compare Dragonball Heroes and the video games to GT, some are “less canon” than others). I will also not use Legends Force abilities that Obi-Wan doesn’t have or post-RotJ feats that he doesn’t scale to.

Really can't wait to see how this fight goes down because the SFM animators and Swan are hyping it up
Crossing fingers Danny's right after this episode
>They're actually using Legends
Well shit I stand corrected, good on them. This will be very interesting to see.
>Danny after this
Danny Phantom? That'd be pretty rad, who would he face?
Particular reasons why? I'm not biased or rooting for Kakashi, I know Naruto and Star Wars but haven't read many legends stuff with Obi Wan specifically. In this case I don't exactly care who wins because they're both my favorite characters from either respective franchise.
Yeah Danny Phantom
Him, Beerus, and Crona (Soul Eater) are confirmed for this season and IIRC a researcher hinted one of the three will be pushed back for the second half of the season
Which makes sense since we have only 2 episodes remaining for the first half after Obi Wan vs Kakashi
As for who Danny can face, people have suggested
>Asakura Yoh
>Yusuke
>Ichigo
>Jake Long
>XJ9
>Ken Kaneki
>Pac-Man
Legends made Jedi like Obi Wan planet level and gave them a truck load of FTL reaction speeds
In legends even average Jedi can defeat planet level characters.
Seeing Danny as an adult fully trained in his powers would be dope; if Dan is any indication he would've been a serious powerhouse
Are there actual feats you can point me to? I can buy the Lightspeed thing, but besides the Deathstar and legends Luke and Palpatine I've never heard of actual characters being planetary.
>who could he face?
Considering the makeup I'd guess either another teenage superhero or another ghost superhero.
Yarael Poof
Depends, are they using 2 eyes Mangekyo/Kamui Kakashi, with Susano'o and shit? Death Battle is really inconsistent, specially when it comes to conditional abilities, power scaling and composite characters.
From novels
>"He had the Force to guide him through, and the tri-fighter had only its electronic reflexesbut those electronic reflexes operated at roughly the speed of light.”
>"Obi-Wan used the Force to summon his lightsaber and tossed it to Anakin. With two lightsabers, the young Jedi attacked anew. Bur Dooku blocked every thrust and, step by step, drove Anakin back. He slashed through one lightsaber, extinguishing its blade. Then, with a stroke faster than light, he cut through Anakin's right arm at the elbow."
They might view it as outside help since Obito’s Chakra is boosting him, I think Kakashi can win without it
It would take way too long to list all the bullshit, you're pulling from over 43 years of source material from books, comics, cartoons and movies for feats. But Yarael Poof is usually the one that most people scale the Council to. My personal favorite is Darth breaking an "unbreakable" mirror in one of the novels with a force enhanced punch, not necessarily impressive on it's own, until you realize that something that IS considered "breakable" by SW standards, Phrik, was able to survive Alderaan exploding intact.
This is from an outside non-nartard but does this guy have the ability to kill ghosts/whatever force ghosts are?
>Kakashi kills Obi-Wan
>Obi-Wan becomes more powerful than he can possibly imagine.
Obi-Wan always wins, baby.
I don't know if Kakashi specifically can, but in the show they have used sealing Jutsu to defeat immortal reanimated corpses of dead people (Edo Tensei) controlled by someone else, so I'm assuming that would work.
I don't know, apparently including Legends Jedi are planetary level, I haven't seen a lot of Legends so what do I know. If they actually are Kakashi might win close combat but lose completely elsewhere without both eyes, which is why I think they'll allow that.
With both Kamui he can both go through stuff and use his pocket dimension, which could be quite hacky.
Leaning Obi Wan
I remember Jiraiya had something like that when he fought Roshi
Yeah but therein lies the weird thing. Because Force Ghosts aren't the same as regular ghosts, and that's important because (depending on where you look) normal non-Force ghosts exist in star wars, separate from actual force ghosts like Ben Kenobi. Qui-Gon figured out how to return from the Netherworld and become one with the force or some shit like that. So they'd need a way not of fighting just regular ghosts bu a way of destroying Force.
>"Well that's stupid so here's what happened in the Expanded Universe"
Ah yes, Boba Fett getting rescued by Dengar, fighting a giant space spider and then crying about his dad for 30 years
I honestly couldn't tell if the whole "Boba Fett goes back to Tatooine just to shoot at the Sarlacc pit from orbit" was a joke or not given how fucking ridiculous the EU is
The Force is near analogue to Chakra from what I understand, and these "ghosts" aren't exactly ghosts, the technique essentially grabs souls of powerful people from the afterlife and sticks them back into the world of the living using someone else's body as a base. Even if they were ghosts sealing jutsu isn't used just for otherwordly beings, they can seal anything, there are multiple of them and they vary drastically in use and effectiveness.
TCW obi is weak as fuck and he always need someone to save him
This is a Death Battle though, Kakashi would die of old age while Obi-Wan would just be sealed
I mean, by those same rules does being a ghost even count as being alive then?
