Lunky Toons Cartoons

So apparently the Looney Tunes shorts that look like garbage are from either Snipple or possibly Yearim (the studio behind American Dad and Wabbit).
The execs yet again have fucked us over.
What are some other studios that look particularly garbage?

>that look like garbage
Stopped reading here. It’s better then almost all shit out now even with tweening

The designs and backgrounds look great but the actual animation in the commercial not so much

I'll put in the obvious AKOM.
Garbage comparatively towards itself, then.

>The execs yet again have fucked us over.
Even assuming all the new Looney Tunes shorts are 100% crap (they're not, some are pretty good from the previews we've seen) HOW can you say the execs "fucked us over"?
Did you pay for these shorts?
Did you invest in WB and expect them to make better shorts?
Did the execs promise you they're going to only make good Looney Tunes shorts?

The execs put the company's money into these shorts and they hope to make their money back. I get the feeling they paid as much per minute of animation somewhere between an animated TV show budget and an animated feature film budget, and the results are pretty much what you'd expect for the money.

The only thing left to see is how many of the shorts are good and how many are just filler.

The original Looney Tunes had a 1/10 ratio - of the 1000 original Looney Tunes, 100 were good and about 50 are classics. The rest were very well-animated but nothing special.

Since we're getting about 143 shorts here ("over 1000 minutes, usually each short is 7 minutes which makes about 143 but they could have gone longer or shorter) if they stack up to the original Looney Tunes we can expect 14 to be good and 7 to be classics.

We'll see if they stack up when they're out.

The attitude comes less from me and more from They didn't fund it either but they do feel that way.

That thread seems generally positive.

I thought they promised us traditionnal animation ? What was the point of me getting excited then

the op is

>literally that retarded ass "If anything you owe them" Simpsons quote

There are definitely negative posts there, I didn't count how many are negative and how many are positive and how many are neutral, but I'd say it's a pretty even split.

How about this: they don't owe you and you don't owe them? They're trying to sell you these cartoons. If they're good, buy them. If they're bad, don't buy them. Free market baby!

>Seeing this image.
What is this?

They're doing it on non-theatrical budget with 1,000 minutes to fill. For reference, Green Eggs and Ham clocks in around 300 minutes of animation. There's going to be some shortcuts here and there, but it balances out that there'll probably be triple A shorts that weren't in the promo on the same quality of Dynamite Dance.

A parody of an actual animation error from the Transformers cartoon; which nearly gives DiC Mario a run for its money.
The parody part comes in when the official "Ask Vector Prime" stated that the animation errors were from space-time being distorted.

>They're doing it on non-theatrical budget
oh, so all the hype was a lie then

>animation is good in like five instances
>excessive tweening
>wabbit-tier writing
>different animation studios and varying quality
i CALLED it, but the faggots who spammed and jerked around in those looney tunes threads thinking this was gonna save animation said i was being overly pessimistic. it’s the fucking warner, what do you expect?

There was no Ellen Degenerate to put in millions of buckaroos in a single episode. Did anyone miss that part?

>wabbit-tier writing
How do you know that from a trailer
>Different animation studios and varying quality
They said this was happening and everyone was under that assumption

The “this is going to save western animation” was the funniest part of it all when so little was revealed for the longest, and what was revealed wasn’t spectacular in any way. Most action cartoons from the 2000s look better than this.

But this looks much better than most cartoons from the 2010s
Keep in mind the 2000s were the years this was possible
In Canada

then why was everyone hyping
>these were meant for theatrical release so theyre big budget!

They were released at the Anncey theater

You are saying King Crimson tried to kill Optimus Prime?

Fuck off, they should all be good

>These were meant for theatrical release
Everyone thought they were going to release in theaters especially with them showing in theaters
>So theyre big budget
They ARE big budget. This is done by the same studios doing GE&H and has similar quality animation and GE&H cost a massive load. I think you're out of touch for what you're expecting and how much that actually fucking costs. Nothing is reaching the level you're expecting because it's not financially feasable
And the animation is good

It doesn't need to all be at the quality of the Bugs on the rollercoaster clip, but they could at least animate it on fours.

thats a HUGE range

source?
>This is done by the same studios doing GE&H
So what? That exact same studio also did Wabbit and Bunnicula
>and has similar quality animation
That remains to be seen
>and GE&H cost a massive load
Source?
>I think you're out of touch for what you're expecting and how much that actually fucking costs
I'm only holding it to its own hype. I expect this to be only slightly better than Wabbit, my bar is that low
>And the animation is good
From what little we've seen it's been a real grab bag of good to mediocre to johnny test
