Civilians neither salute nor are saluted. If you're saluting out of uniform or saluting someone who is out of uniform, you are doing it wrong, and that is an insult.

Calling essential workers heroes is fucking bullshit propaganda. Heroes choose to risk their lives. Heroes choose to die for others.

These people are victims and slaves and calling them heroes lets their masters off the hook. It's propaganda 101 and the country falls for it hook, line, and sinker. So when a bunch of doctors and nurses wind up dead you won't say "curse those assholes administrating the hospitals not allowing proper PPE and firing people who speak out, fuck those rat bastard feds for stealing supplies from hospitals, fuck this system for holding these people's homes and families hostage"
