despite how great breeding women left and right to repopulate your people sounds, from a logical standpoint you'd probably have to be careful with who you choose to breed, there'd be so many different factors to bringing back an entire culture which has been dead for a century with no recent texts on their studies, beliefs or traditions
girls like Toph and Suki would unironically be good candidates because if nothing else they'd try, but outside of Aang's group he'd have to find women who were responsible enough to sire and raise children, willing enough to raise the kids in a completely different cultural style, and capable of possibly detatching themselves from Aang since he'd have to go find other women
