Why is the Fire Nation so sexist?

Why is the Fire Nation so sexist?

But that's a male?

Any place that has a bouncer probably isn't a place for little girls. And he did specifically say "little girls" so I'd assume there are grown women in there.

It’s not, it’s the least sexist of the 4 nations, it had plenty of women in traditionally male roles.
They were pretty benderist though

Because women are inferior, Fire chads are the only ones with the balls to say it.

no you dummy, they dress up as boys and are allowed in.

In real life i can only see this being a problem if it was high class place and didn't want little kids or teens shitting up the place, i see no reason someone would turn down a pretty woman unless they had no cash

> i see no reason someone would turn down a pretty woman
they're kids pedo, the guy even says "kids your age."

Are The Lost Adventures stories even canon?
They’ve got that story where there’s a cookie-dough bender for Christ’s sake.

It's not sexist, it's just anti-loli.

>it had plenty of women in traditionally male roles.
why do people say this? name two, and you can even include background ones. there are women prison guards and a female teacher in one episode but every other person you see in an important role in the fire nation is a guy.

>name two, and you can even include background ones. there are women prison guards and a female teacher in one episode

prison guards and a teacher are not important roles though.

>Was younger than Katara's age when TLAB came out
>Had a crush on her (and azula) when it came out
>Still think she's atractive
>The year its 2020
Damn, i guess i'll just give myself up to the police then

He just doesn't want annoying little girls ruining his dinner. He said nothing about adult women.

No shit, Does anyone remember that episode where Azula tells Zuko he doesn't need an invitation to go to any meeting he wants to because he's the prince, but she does because she's the princess?

what type of base bending do you have to have to be able to bend cookie dough?

ozai also prefers his daughter to his son and this is seen as the correct decision by everyone.

>and this is seen as the correct decision by everyone.
By whom? Name one person that sees this as the correct decision

You see several female soldiers in the fire nation, and the title Fire Lord applies to both genders.

>You see several female soldiers in the fire nation
those are all prison guards, it was confirmed that women in fire nation are only legally allowed to serve in domestic roles in the army

>reverse trap Katara
I didn’t know I wanted this

That still seems better than the Water Tribe saying women can only be healers or the Earth Kingdom I can’t recall seeing any female soldiers at all.

I dont know. There is a story where Zuko doesn't want to go home to the fire nation after he's already betrayed Iroh, so Azula gets him and mai to fall in love with each other so he'll come home. that feels contradictory to the show.

on the other hand, for me, its ming ming.

Well the northern water tribe wasn't exactly exhausting all of their fighting age men on the warfront. If anything allowing women to serve in the Fire Nation army at all was probably out of necessity.

interesting the air nomads seem to have a very 'seperate but equal' approach, while the fire nation armies, prisons and schools are all co-ed

confirmed by what? if it was a comic, then we can just throw that out the window along with the fork lift.

it was confirmed by one of the novelizations, not the comics

>impying sending all your children off to die for fire lord ozai is not your highest honour and privilege as a father

I agree man
This is one those wanting to masturbate to lego's situations

eh, i never read those. any good?

the men, yeah. its kind of shameful for a father to send off a girl though. ever seen mulan?

The Fire Sages were pretty relaxed with it
And Lo and Li were happy to advise Azula
>inb4 Fire Nation is absolute monarchy
An absolute monarch very often still had to be sensible in matters regarding culture, lest not upset either the people or give the aristocracy ammo to plot to overthrow them

I thought that girl was Katara for a weird second there

mulan's world isn't atla, user. not sure of your point.

katara would not look at her brother like that unless she was trying to steal his food
