I think so. The precedent so far seems to be that the Force works on everyone (Luke vs Harry, Vader vs Doom) and for the purposes of death battle chakra effects work on those that shouldn't have chakra (All Naruto fights so far, especially with regards to genjutsu vs Hiei and Roshi). I'd be surprised if they didn't have some energy equivalence system.

I don't know about Chakra because I don't keep up with Nar, but depending on what they follow the Force can be some real busted bullshit. Beyond the force ghost stuff and playing around with 'what can equal or beat the Force' there's the issue of what beats a lightsaber.

Yeah but that's one of the only things that can, cause Mandos are broken as fuck. There's a handful of specialized things in universe that can resist or slow down a saber but I doubt any of that is in Naruto.

Granted metal can go through a lightsaber, just melted.

It should work, in theory. Electrostaffs and Shock Batons in Star Wars are things that were designed to counter sabers. So he should be able to at least, parry a saber strike for the sake of an interesting battle.
