Exactly, AMC is already looking into bankruptcy lawyers, the vast majority of theaters won't survive this situation. VOD was going to become the dominant market eventually anyway, it's just been accelerated now.

If Netflix still has some extra cash set aside, they should look into scooping up some of these theaters and convert them into restaurants/hang out centers. They can offer free access to Netflix members, sell upscale food all day, marathon existing shows, and play their own movies in order to make them eligible for the Oscars and shut Steven Spielberg up.
