Couldn't pass up the $100 Fantabucks for $50 deal. Really hope they do it again.
Some of the very best! Nicely snagged.
The TF manga is for the wife’s b-day but I’ll still read it
What has everyone been reading?
Got caught up on Love & Rockets v4. I wasn't crazy about the punk reunion as it was coming out but it reads better in a single sitting. Plus a bunch of 70s Marvel, Rom and Defenders and whatnot.
You?
Took a much needed break from the last BruCap omnibus to read Junji Ito's Cat Diary: Yon & Mu.
Now back to the omnibus.
Didn't realise that Tales of the Batman was out yet. Enjoy.
Finished Grant Morrison Batman Omnibus vol 2. Now moved on to Collected Toppi editions.
Thanks, it’s been delayed multiple times, glad to finally have it. Kurt Busiek kept nudging guys he knew in DC’s trade department until they put all the Englehart bat books in, glad he did. Big book!
>Big book!
How many issues are in it?
22, which isn't a ton but it's about twice the size of the other Bat-creator anthologies I have
literally all the actually-published stuff that englehart wrote for Batman stuff.
Lots of crossover with the Marshall Rogers collection
Show us that Silver Star book, OP-kun! How many pages?
Reading some Michael Deforge. I can't get into his stuff all that much, but I like the art. I feel like something is missing for me to love it. My current favorite weird comics are the ones by Jim Woodring.
I'm annoyed that the Rosa Library v5 hardcover is apparently out of print now that this is out. I have 1-4, 6, and 9.
Wow those are crisp and clean Captain Victory issues. Good buy. How are you liking Conway's New Gods?
It's 6 issues plus a "screenplay" (really a treatment) for the Silver Star movie. Image did a really nice job on it.
really nice endpapers
Thanks! Haven’t cracked into it yet but I’m checking out that good Don Newton art. I feel like people sleep on that guy but he’s really the pre-Alan Davis. Great stuff.
Got these a while back. I've got some Hero Academia, the Man-Wolf Complete Collection, and the US Spidey vs Mysterio collection (Panini's is a completely different set of stories) on the way.
Nice X-Babies trade. What’s in that Taskmaster? Mostly 70s/80s?
Got it before the quarantine. Liking it and "What The?" a lot.
Very nice, thank you! Might have to get myself a copy when everything's calmed down a bit.
Not much to say here. Got the manga because it was cheap, Action because I had to have it, and Multiple Warheads because I liked Graham's work on Prophet. And because it was cheap. All I've read of it so far is Tonari no Seki-kun.
Getting through about six issues a night of Werewolf by Night, I'm almost done with Tatsumi's Fallen Words, and doing a story or two from Showcase Presents Shazam in bed just before going to sleep. I had hoped to use this time to read all the issues I've had stack up over the past two or three years, but I'm just reading collected editions. Mostly ones I bought this month.
I loved Warheads. Wild stuff. Just got vol 2. Pro-tip: read the last story first. It’s the first chapter chronologically but it’s buried in the back bc it’s porn
Pretty much. I'm like three stories in and, so far, it's been his 2-part debut in Avengers and a Marvel Team-up story starring Spidey and Scott Lang Ant-Man. Looks like a McFarlane era Spider-Man issue later, along with some Cap, Daredevil, Deadpool, and Iron Man too.
Is that for volume 2 or volume 1?
New Mutants Omnibus
Excalibur Omnibus
Uncanny X-Men vol. 4 Omnibus
Gonna be a good year.
one. The porn chapter’s the black and white one IIRC
damn you, these Captain Victory issues, i want them
Shit, that sounds good.
Thorgal, and fuck now I need to buy all 27 volumes, this shit is great!
Pretty good so far, but I'm actually digging the Mysterio collection a bit more. Love or hate the MCU, I am psyched for all these character-centric trades. Just saw a collection of Morbius' early appearances on Amazon coming next month in anticipation of the movie and they recollected the Guggenheim Blade series into a complete collection with a few new stories sprinkled in.
