Suyin is the most loathsome, repulsive, and reprehensible villain in the entire franchise and they didn't even do it on purpose.

I would have loved all the awful Beifong drama if it ended with a scene in which Lin walks up to Suyin, kicks her in the mouth and then leaves without saying a word.

Of course I'm pretty sure all of Suyin's negative traits got retconned because the comics seem to pain her as a person who loved Kuvira like a daughter...even though in the series she actively tried to assassinate her.

Even in the comic she is a cunt. It literally all just goes back to the same shit. Suyin getting her way and giving Kuvira the Bataar Jr. treatment since Kuvira managed to save the day after the group didn't listen to her and allowed shit to get bad.

I just really hate they show this backstory of where Suyin supposedly thought of Kuvira as a daughter, and you still have that episode where she and her twin boys try to kill her. There was no fucking hesitation at all or even an attempt to find another way, she went straight for the kill.

The show also had Kuvira engaged to marry her adopted brother and this is never once commented on, so I think the writers legitimately just forgot how close Kuvira was supposed to be to the family.

Toaf a weak mother. Just fucked off and became a hermit when things got hard. Earthbenders, and Toaf especially, are suppose to be the most stubborn and enduring of the all the elements yet she was the only one in the Gaang that gave up. Did she learn nothing when she first metal-bended? Parenting is harder than metal-bending I guess.
