The season finale is Summer vs Tammy in a lightsaber battle very clearly based on the ending of Revenge of the Sith.
Considering this is an extremely traditional narrative, to have two characters fight at the climax of a show's season, how will Rick and Morty, which infamously hates traditional narrative and plot structure, subvert this?
One could argue that having Summer and Tammy fight to begin with is sort of a subversion to begin with, since Summer and Tammy's on-screen friendship is limited to Mr. Meesecks making a plea for people to like Summer, Tammy going to Summer's house party, and Tammy inviting Summer to a wedding, but we can do better(worse). We can make the season finale leave people even emptier than they already will be.
