Was he a mistake?

Was he a mistake?

yes

No, he was just "unplanned"

shut up talia, we both didnt want him

DC needs more Shotas.

'Not letting him stay dead was a mistake.

Superheroes are a mistake.

Talia wanted him 100% and Bruce certainly wanted him back after he died, why are we even talking about this?

>That pose
Was it intentional?

No. He's extremely entertaining in the right hands. He had one of the best character arcs in the batfam before Glass messed it up.

No, he was a test tube baby.

Intentional as in a callback to the first cover of B&R Reborn?

Bruce got spermjacked

So no in the sense that Talia tried to trap Bats with a pregnancy

The thing is, they kind of keep resetting his character growth.

Under Dickbats, he learned not to kill and how to be a hero. Then, during Tomasi's B&R run, he learned the same thing. Now I feel like they keep regressing him further. It's like one step forward, two steps back.

Yes.

Tim is the better Robin, I think Damian has been pushed because the idea that Bruce is training his adopted son in his line of work where people cut off your face and rape your mind if you get captured.

Damian is Bruce's flesh and blood, and thus the "True" heir, where Tim is not, and thus more acceptable for a true son to be in those situations than the adopted son you're supposed to watch out for.

It's twisted logic.

Nobody can have growth when none of the writers care about continuity.

Yes, the Batfamily post-Infinity Crisis is a clusterfuck
>Damien demonboyLOLOLOL
>Batlesbianjew
>Batchickenwing
>Misfit (does anyone remember her?)
>Blue hair
>Duke
Good characters got shafted to make these windows look good.

no he wasn't. He's a good character, just misunderstood and badly used.

I don't think that Tim, or Dick or Jason being adopted has any bearing on whether or not the concept of Robin is ok in the kind of world they live in.

I think the bigger issue with the whole Tim vs. Damian thing is that Tim was a very relatable character, kind of the "straight man" of the family, and he had consistent character growth.

But after the reboot, a lot of that was taken away. Hell, even now Jason was the Robin who saw Dick perform as a child. Damian's just an easier jumping-on point as "son of Batman and former assassin".

I do agree that Damian being pushed as Bruce's "true" son is bullshit and needs to stop.

I'm surprised nobody has investigated the parade of young teenage boys who keep showing up at Wayne Manor and then vanishing

yep

Pic related would of been a better child for Bruce.

The whole Batman reborn era was pretty good for batbooks across the board, though. We had a strong Batman and Robin title, Stephanie as Batgirl was a lot of fun, Red Robin, etc. If anything it should have lasted longer.

I will agree that Duke, Bluebird, etc. were pretty useless additions to an already crowded Batfamily, but that only happened after the reboot.

I remember there was one comic where some guy goes to Wayne Manor to investigate Jason's death and Bruce answers the door. And then Cassandra shows up next to him wearing nothing but a bathrobe, asking Bruce how he likes his coffee. It definitely did not help his case.

Cassandra Cain is a mary sue. Good riddance.

Batwoman and Damian were good additions to the cast. Bluebird and Signal were a mistake.

>tfw Bruce Wayne is considered the Epstein of the DC world

Furthest thing from one.

Scott Snyder's OCs weren't as interesting as Morrison's.

Honestly, that has to be the source of Bruce's resentment of him.

Well his existence screws over Tim, but who cares about that, but it also screws over Cass and that's not okay.

No, I'm pretty sure Talia meant for that to happen.
