Netflix has sunk to the bottom of Adult Swim levels

Wow, I didn't expect it to be that good. genuinely an enjoyable watch.

I was worried it was going to be too "lol, 420 man" and it might seem like that in the first episode because it's specifically about drugs, but the other topics the show explored were far more interesting.

If anything it shows me Pen's still got it. regardless of the direction Adventure Time went, he's still able to tell a mature, meaningful and trippy story.

It sounds like conversation with people he has actually done and then edited to frame it in his cartoon.

Holy shit is this show insufferable
I wish they had advertised it as some random douchebag's animated podcast and not DA NEW ADULT ADVENTURE TIME

What the fuck

What the shit are you talking about? There's no story, it's an animated podcast with a few added lines to make the visuals work in context (sort of)

some of the best homestuck pesterlogs were written that way

>I wish they had advertised it as some random douchebag's animated podcast and not DA NEW ADULT ADVENTURE TIME
I watched both trailers. Neither of them did this. Only one said, "From Pen Ward, creator of Adventure Time". And if you translate that as, "THE NEW ADVENTURE TIME" that's your fault.

The trailers highlighted violence and psychedelic adventure, not fucking podcast audio you vapid cunt

explain to me how its not a story? i don't get you. it has characters, locations, scenes and themes. it may be lacking in some places but it doesn't mean its suddenly not a story.

It wasn't a critic. I kinda like it.

it was never fucking advertised this way? the only reason adventure time was even being brought up is that its Pen's previous work, which happens to be extremely popular. its marketing 101 dipshit.
