that aren't overly emotional
The crew cant make emotionally rounded characters
>another trannyverse thread
everyone praising the show insists Steven is emotionally mature but hes not hes just whiny
eceryone who says hes "not like other boys"....no... he just acts like a little girl, and the crew thinks that's an improvement
They never intended to.
It's the crying friends show.
>Take boys, make them girls
>Call it an improvement
Yeah, it's made by feminists, what did you expect?
Having emotions doesn’t make you a girl you emotionally stunted manchild.
It's almost like 11 minutes means you have to hyper compress or something!
This holy shit.
>Muh maturity means never complaining or crying
I'm referring to people who specifically say Steven is "better than other young boys on tv" because he acts more comparable to a young girl
its not "having emotions", its crying and moaning about everything and not controlling them
There's a distinct difference between being emotionally mature--which means recognizing when it is appropriate to display emotions, depending on the circumstance--and then whining and crying about everything because you've not developed proper coping mechanisms, because the whining, crying and tantrum-throwing has been the only emotional display rewarded with a response.
Which gee, sounds a lot like the whole cast and crew of Steven Cryingverse, doesn't it.
That was the point of SUF, it was about how a kid ended up fucked up and lost and was struggled to deal with these newfound emotions on his own and needed to be able to accept the support of others
Yes, teach kids to cope with things by being hypercontroling of everything. Thats healthy AND stays applicable to adult life!
hypercontrolling of everything =/= keeping ur emotions in check and knowing when not to break down crying
every display of emotion from most characters, even adults and gems, comes down to tearing up
its the only way the crew know how to show someone being soft of sensitive, which in turn is the only way they know how to show someone being emotional
feeling such strong emotions about everything that u cry isnt the same as being caring and kind and unafraid to show ur emotions
these are the same kinda adults that see little boys roughousing in a healthy manner, or showing emotions in a way THEYRE used to, and saying "why cant u be more like the girls?" when the girls are doing the exact same thing, just showing it differentally in a way that adults favor
rebecca is one xD 2005 deviantart phase short of a shitty mom
Don’t bottle that shit in, feel when you gotta
Post concrete, specific examples of what you wanna talk about or fuck off.
>Post concrete
id teach her to read, wouldnt you user?
I think Steven should watch that tape again so he remembers that his mother was not always a bitch and she changed in the end, also, if it wasn’t for her, earth would’ve been destroyed
Hey, if he doesn’t want a portrait of her hanging around, nothing is forcing him to keep it , there’s just too much shit going on with her and she’s kinda dead so he can’t exactly talk it out.
Well yeah SU is written to be emotionally manipulative, it's the kind of writing only idiots like because the narratives all fall apart once basic common logic is applied.
>Which gee, sounds a lot like the whole cast and crew of Steven Cryingverse, doesn't it.
No? Have you got any examples?
Concrete thread now?
SUF ended.
Why still having drama about it?
Oh my goooood
It’s OVER OKAY. THE SHOW IS DONE.
STOP FUCKING TALKING ABOUT IT
Why? Just because a show isn’t around anymore, doesn’t mean I can’t talk about it
Make one in the catalog but with this picture and we have a deal
and yet this is a good point
ive yet to see a thread talking about how SU sees and handles emotionality in character
You can, but you're using the present verbs for it
It's not
>the crew cant make emotionally rounded characters
But
>the crew COULDN'T make emotionally rounded characters
First of all, not OP, secondly, they would have to prove they could in order to change that
>they would have to prove they could in order to change that
Did you even read my post, you Concrete?
I said that if you make a thread review of SUF you have to use the past and not the present verbs since SUF ended
I love her
>ITT: Nobody pays attention to what they're saying, how and why they're saying it or their actions in favour of focusing on tears
I knew you people were stunted but Jesus Christ.
Yeah but this part mentions the crew, and if they didn’t do emotional shit right, they would have to prove they couldn’t because it stays present until shown otherwise,
