Hank slapping Janet

I don't usually say this, but what the fuck were they thinking.

Man, Frontline was the worst and nobody liked it.

I think they took this out of later prints upon realizing how stupid this was even at the time it was released

That book was out in early or mid 2007. I'm pretty sure like two or three years after that comic was out, people were leaving Myspace to go to Facebook, and in early/mid 2007 Simpsons was on Season 18. You know what was an episode during Season 18? This:

That would mean Captain America made the right decision not to watch the show at that point.

Shit, I don't even remember who won the World Series or American Idol that year. I guess at least NASCAR and Youtube are still around.

But she's completely fucking right. Steve is dressed top to bottom in the colors of a country he's a lifetime removed culturally from. It's almost as stupid as America Chavez.

I'm not saying here examples of how one could culturally connect with America were good ones, but Steve's entire shtick, given he's a man out of time, is fucking stupid. And you can't even fucking argue Steve is representing some idealistic American values because America has had dumpsterfire values for most of its existence.

Or to put it another way, pic fucking related is an inhuman dipshit written by a literal loon, but he's somehow more introspective and relatable than fucking Captain America. There is a reason Cap is ironically at his best when he's telling people to fuck off, especially the US government. He's taking a personal stake in something.

Are you sure you know what you're talking about?

>she's completely fucking right
They wrote her to be right. They wrote him to not know about those things. They can and often do write him to know about those things. This is wholly asinine.

Fuck no. I don't read comics.

Steve had been out of the ice and an active Avenger for at least a decade by that point, even considering the sliding timeline, the "Captain America is eternally a man out of time" is the most MCU normie take possible.

>man out of time
Lifted verbatim from The Avengers movie. Fucking tourists.

I can’t tell if that’s Cap being ashamed or just being annoyed
NASCAR sucks, Simpsons sucked at that point, why would he watch those things?

explain how NASCAR and myspace of all things can represent US culture in it's entirety.

The whole of Civil War was an attempt by Marvel to propagandize in favor of endless war in the middle east and unconstitutional government spying on all citizens. Fuck them and the boat they came in on.

The guy you're replying to is a mongoloid but
>I'm not saying here examples of how one could culturally connect with America were good ones
Learn to fucking read.

Avengers #20 is the New #200.

What is this even from?

Explain why Captain America needs to watch the shitty seasons of The Simpsons in order to represent America

Civil War: Frontline

It's sad that you think the only way to represent america is by consuming the correct products.
Fuck the people, fuck the values, fuck the regional character. Corporations. That's 'murrica

Is this Aaron's run or something?

Maybe he should've read the page and thought about it more first

Yes.

American concepts are timeless and not the faggy consumer bullshit you've been brainwashed to consider valuable, dumbass.

Reminder that she thinks Captain America is un-American for not watching Season 18 of The Simpsons.

>Fuck the people, fuck the values, fuck the regional character
But he doesn't embody or represent any of those either.

Did you click the wrong post? I'm so sick of asking you people to fucking proofread.

>American concepts are timeless
Name a single god damn American value that has stood the test of time (forward and back) and isn't guns.
