Mrs. Puff is a snack
Krusty Towers was a good episode.
Decent, but there’s a noticeable decline in quality
Season 4 had a weird uncanny valley feel to it. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?
Overrated. Its a stark drop from season 3 despite what people say. It completely abandons the "underwater" theme the show had and becomes a much more generic cartoon. I am sure you can point out a few good episodes, but the show just feels like it lost its soul at this point.
Classic
SpongeBob is cute
A few decent eps (krusty towers, skill crane, ????) but generally bad. Weird seeing people think positively of it.
It's just weird seeing a show randomly and immediately developing such different direction, especially since it wasn't rebranded.
Part of what I mean is that Season 4 felt kinda like Season 3 in some respects, but it was a lot worse and felt "off".
Squidbob tentaclepants gave millions of kids who saw it nightmares, particularly the ending.
Has more lackluster or downright bad episodes than people think. There is a reason why Krusty Towers is the only S4 episode that people bring up.
You can feel a notable decline in quality from seasons 1 to 3 and 4 but its still by far the best post movie season
It's the Sonic Heroes equivalent of Spongebob : not terrible, but the decline in quality is noticeable. The soul is no longer there
I remember liking Fear of a Krabby Patty but it's probably been over a decade since I've seen it.
Except Sonic Heroes was soulful as fuck. Say what you will about the mechanics, the game was overflowing with soul. Shadow was when the soul stopped being there.
True, but it was different kind of soul that the Adventure games. A more...fake one, if you will. Like, it's colorful and vibrant, but lacks the small details that the Adventure games had ( remixed versions of past themes, easter eggs to other Sega franchises, Big making cameos, etc ) This applies to the cover art too, going from the anime artwork of the Adventure games to generic CGI
You mean sonic unleashed. Shadow at least finished the story started in sonic adventure 2, even if its super edgy and nonsensical at times. Sonic 06 is grossly incompetent and terrible, and clearly unfinished, but it did feel like they tried with the story, even if it the end results were creepy and terrible.

This is the definition of soul.
Or like Season 9 of the Simpsons.

I remember liking Gary Come Home
Shadow is an interesting little game. The fact that it was the last 3D game directed by Iizuka or produced by Naka makes it worth playing once imo. It was almost the end of an era, so to speak.
06 tried with the story. It tried way too fucking hard. It's literally one of the most complex stories in a 3D platformer, up there with Jak 2
I remember feeling like something was off about the season even as a kid
Yeah, I said earlier it has some sort of uncanny valley feel to it. Like, it felt like some worse, alien version of Season 3.
i dunno.
to me the magic those first three seasons captured was good enough. Spongebob could go on for a century longer and i wouldn't care.
bump
its good
No it isn't.
yes it is
But what do you think of Season 4?
